Nome Nugget Inn, Nome

The service was bad. The workers were rude, esp. the young lady. She was very rude and bossy and I called and asked questions. The rooms were small and old. The location is bad, if you don't like being surrounded by bars and drunks. The room was kind of cold. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Some of the staff were discourteous and dishonest. The room, while appearing clean, was smelly of stale cigarette smoke. The rooms are also quite small. For nearly identical rates, the Aurora Inn offers much larger, cleaner rooms in a newer nicer building.

I go to Nome every year for the end of the Iditarod, so staying at the Nugget is ideal. It is quiet and right at the finish line of the race. The new owners are gracious and trying to improve the hotel overall. I really like that they do not rent to the people who are there to drink and that I can count on quietness after 11 pm.

The rooms were small and unclean. The staff were very rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I should have stayed at the Auroa Inn. Everyone who stayed there loved it.

the nugget inn is a nice quiet hotel to stay in while in nome. great service, reasonable rates ($100), and great location is the reason i stay at the nugget inn while in nome for business.

I liked everything did not dislike anything its just so great service and rooms great and just comentless so good. i don't think i wil ever get a better deal and its 80 dollors! thats just amazing

The Nugget Inn is a wonderful place to stay while in Nome. It is conveniently located within walking distance of most of the city with a great view of Norton Sound behind it. The rooms were cozy, clean and comfortable and the microwave and refrigerator meant we could have cold drinks and hot breakfast in our room. Alcohol is not allowed, which contributed to the quiet atmosphere. The hotel has a computer for guests' use as well as wifi access. The owners were very friendly and accomodating. We will definitely stay at The Nugget Inn whenever we travel to Nome.

First of all when in Nome, there is no better place to stay than the Nugget Inn. The location in unbeatable, the rooms are comfortable, the management is very friendly, and the rates are very reasonable. I come to Nome usually 3-4 times a year for business/meetings and try and always book a room there. I am glad it is staying open year round again and the new management is doing a great job improving things. I believe they even offer wireless internet now. I will have to bring my laptop next time work brings me up there.

Pros: The beds and blankets are very comfortable, I could sleep in them for hours. It is nice and quiet, ideal for business trips and elderly or other people who like quiet. Alcohol is not permitted in the rooms, which makes it a great place to stay in (no drunks bothering you). Some of the rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves, so you can eat in if you like. Management is friendly, witht the exception of housekeeping. Convenient location, on the street of little shops and main street. Cons: The visitors have to be out at 11:00 p.m. If you are traveling with your family, I would not recommend this place, as you have to keep telling children to be quiet;otherwise the manager will call your room and ask what is going on. We had to repeatedly ask the housekeeping to vacuum, which they never did until we left. We also had to call the front desk to ask for clean towels, which in other hotels is done automatically.

The Nugget Inn is a beautiful little hotel. It is located downtown in the former gold rush city of Nome Alaska. It is clean, the people are friendly, and the room rates are excellent. We are comming back to Nome next year and we wouldn't think of renting from another location.
