Rime Garden Inn & Suites, Birmingham

I have to move twice because my room was nasty. Ann at the front desk was very unprofessional. They do not respect the customers. I had a very bad experience. I would not recommend anyone to this hotel.

The room was dirty and although we did have maid service each day, the cleaning was done in a very cursory manner. There were lights that came on and off by themselves and some that flickered. The smoke detector was hanging from a wire. The furniture was worn & dirty and the room had an unpleasant "old smoke" smell (in a "non-smoking" room). The TV remote control did not work. The hotel lobby belied the rooms. At first glance, it looked quite nice, but a closer look showed it to be dirty, too. The daily breakfast buffet was nicely served and the utensils, plates and table clothes were clean, but the food was mediocre - powdered eggs and bad coffee among the problems. This was an overall unpleasant stay.

Nothing to like about this place. Do not stay here. Rooms were disgusting, dirty (stained carpet and furniture). Room service never cleaned the room during 4 day stay (and I mean did not clean anything!)--although they did make the beds 2 out of the 4 days I was there. No screens on windows, mold on ceiling in bathroom, plumbing in bathroom was in disrepair. This place is no longer a Best Western like it says on other web sites. The place should be closed down! The lobby in the pictures is the only thing that appears nice but smells when you arrive!
