Bad Experience
By Sharon, 6/30/11
This place is filthy! There was a dead roach in the bathroom (I guess that was a good thing), the clock didn't work, and even though it advertised free Wi-Fi, it wasn't available. When I inquired as to why I couldn't get on the internet, I was told that maybe it was because I wasn't closer to the lobby! The desk clerk told me he would get someone out next week to check it - as if I would be there next week! There were a LOT of "shady" characters hanging out in the parking lot talking on cell phones - guess they got no signal inside! Avoid this dirty place at all costs - pay $20 more and stay somewhere else.

Absolutely the PITS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/2/10
The hotel needed a renovation 10 years ago. Tub won't drain, roaches in the room, dead batteries in the TV remote (not a big deal), trash throughout the exterior, the entire first floor is without carpet (boiler problem), Fire Marshalls tried to run us out before they nogotiated some temporary thing to let us stay the week-end, peeling paint everywhere, run don't walk to another hotel down the road. Bright spot? Miss Karen who operates the breakfast / coffee room in the morning. Reasonably good breakfast and she is a very, very bright spot in the morning.

A DUMP!!! BEWARE!!
By Donna J, 2/24/08
This was the absolute worst hotel I have stayed at in years! I wish I had read the other review here before we stayed!! The whole hotel felt dingy. The elevator was in need of repairs. The long hallway that connected the lobby with the rooms in the very back of the property was not heated in the middle of winter. The bedding had large holes in it. The fixtures in the bathroom truly must have been at least 30 years old, you had to manually open and close the sink stopper, and that's the way it was designed! The lady at the front desk was nice, but I could not understand a word the guy from India was saying, so I just kept asking her my questions. The landscaping at the back of the hotel is hazardous! The stepping stones were broken, so turning an ankle is a VERY real possibility - a lawsuit waiting to happen. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. You would do better to pay $20 extra dollars and stay at another hotel on the same strip. Hope this saves someone the headache we experienced.

Worst Hotel Stay Ever... Nasty & Smelly..
By bo B, 10/31/11
Stay Away.... Very unclean living conditions. Changed rooms twice. First room had unclean covers on bed and flies.. Second room had yellow to brown water supply. Had to get a room at another hotle. Hotel need to be reported and closed.. Made contact with manager and general manager, very very negative attitudes. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy..

Will Stay Again
By Don, 10/13/11
Spent one night at the Quality Inn. The hotel is Well Maintained so everything is in good condition. The Hotel is close to stores and Shopping Malls. The room was pleasant and the bed was very comfortable. They have free Wi Fi available, which the "nicer" hotels seem to charge for. The staff was truly fantastic. Their breakfast was a great way to start the day! Breakfast area was amazing and was kept clean. Hotel staff was extremely helpful, and knew what you wanted even before you asked.. Room was comfortable and updated. There was Restaurants in the hotels but I only had the breakfast. Overall, this was a very good value and I'll definitely be back on my next trip.

Hotel Rooms Stink!!
By Alabama Rickey, 7/23/11
Came in from Texas to stay 3 days. Bathroom door did not close, phones didn't work, AC was on 24/7, there was mold & mildew on walls. I unplugged it & came back from a function & the room smelled horribly of mold & mildew - no wonder they wanted the AC on at all times! Also BEWARE if you stay there Be aware of poorly & shoddy repair work on previous holes in walls! Wall caved in when I barely leaned on it! Came to find out it was a bad repair job of a hole that had been made before. Horrible experience & then hotel management charged us over 100 dollars for repairs! For a wall that caved in because whoever patched it before did a sorry job!! Please let me know if you had a similar incident happen to you at this hotel! Do NOT stay at this hotel!!

5 reviews-all total lies.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/11
We were treated as nicely as anywhere I have visited-Honolulu, Atlanta, Panama City, Scotsdale, Phoenix, Tucson, San Diego, Oakland, Nashville, Guadalahara, Mexico DF. Boy, what was the problem with those other 5 ? Seriously, the only thing I can accept as being truthful was the lady in the breakfast room. She was nice, neat and friendly and one could not ask for 3 nicer people at the front desk. We stayed there 3 days and nights and were quite happy

Rating our stay
By Beverly, 5/10/13
We liked the location and price. Quiet. Clean. Close to UAB hospital. We disliked the breakfast. Not enough variety on meat for breakfast. (No bacon)

Needs major work
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/10/07
Hotel needs a major renovation. Carpeting is filthy throughout the hotel, including rooms and hallways. Walls are old and have paint chipping and holes in them. Trash was on the elevator, in the hallways, and on the outside of hotel property. The only good thing I can say is that there weren't any bugs in my room. Also, the location is convenient to I-65 and Birmingham attractions.
