2nd floor is actually more of a parking lot view.

My wife and I arrived 8/4/10 for 6 nights traveling from Texas. We requested king bed ocean front room and was quoted $235 a night except Friday it was $298. The ocean front room was on the 2nd floor and actually more of a parking lot view. If that was not bad enough throughout our stay a very large number of people not actually Not staying at the hotel parked unloaded used the ocean front beach, bathroom while setting and resetting their car alarms coming and going. From our room you heard every alarm and conversation on the parking lot.
I did ask to relocate to an upper floor room and was told no other rooms were available. Note: there are 39 rooms on floor 3 through 5 and it was a Wednesday with 18 cars in the parking lot. I walked the halls of the upper floors the next day while rooms were being cleaned and did see a few unoccupied rooms. The photo with the ocean view is from one of them.
On Friday the $298 day we did not receive room service even after making a direct request to house keeper vacuuming the hall in front of our room on our departure for several hours. When I presented the problem to the office management I was met with rude hostel definitive responses no apology more like trying to say it was my fault for not bring this to the management attention instead of making request to staff.
I was offered services but unfortunately it was very late in the day and conflicted with evening getting ready plans. Besides the scheduling and management of house cleaning is an include service not a customer’s responsibility, at least that’s how it is presented. I did requested compensation for services paid for and not received and was provide 15% discount. I preferred not having the bad experience over the %15 believe me.
The next day the house cleaning staff entered our room on the definitive with explaining what had happen again more of our fault for not bring this to the management. After this event the staff parked their carts and had social gathering outside of our door with vacuuming 3 or 4 times over a couple hours time.
On the day we checked out I attempted to show photos from our ocean front room with proof it was more of a parking lot view then ocean. Again met with rude hostel definitive responses no apology and demanding we had an ocean view. After this I decided this was the culture of the hotel staff and I was not going to make a difference and best I spend my time and energy making others aware of our experience. I paid my $1,309 bill and we headed back to Texas.
If you do decide to stay at this hotel and do desire a pleasant vacation experience I recommend do not stay on the 2nd floor and no matter what, do not Neg at the Neg Head Inn staff they are professionals at what and how they do what they do and they will let you know it.
