Good before Great Now
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/21/09
There have been many changes since last year and they are all good. The beds and linens are worthy of much higher end resorts. The hospitality suite is a great addition especially the sweet potato biscuit from Kelly's. The new lobby look and all of the new in room appliances are all first class. We actually paid less than last year and the whole experience was much better. In my opinion they went from an ok deal to a bargain for what you get in the ocean front rooms. Unless the rates go up a bunch next year, we'll be back again. We felt the residential area, uncrowded beach but close proximity to Nags Head's local cool spots (Tortuga's, Sam & Oumie's, Kelly's, Owens) make this place the best location on the Outer Banks for a tourist type hotel.

Great value for off-season rates
By wilco, 04/08/08
My daughter and I went for a mini-getaway. The hotel is older, and could use some remodeling, but for the off-season rate and ocean-front room, it was great! The pool and hot tub were very nice to relax in, and I loved being able to go out on the balcony and watch the ocean waves. The room was clean, and the beds looked brand new. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and every amenity was thought of.

ALWAYS STAY HERE.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/07
We have been to Nags Head many times and we always stay here. It is away from the main stream and this is one thing that we like. After all we do have our own transportation. You may encounter some sand in places but remember you are at the beach. We have always been well pleased with every asspect of the Nags Head Inn. The Wheelers West Virginia

Great place for Bike Week
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/07
As this was our first visit to the Outer Banks and our first time to the "Outer Banks Bike Week" we had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised and quite pleased. Hotel was everything we had hoped it would be and more. We could not have asked for better accommodations. All of the staff was helpful and friendly, even when coming in during the early hours of the morning. And if you are lucky, you will meet Miss Ethel who was a delightful 80 year old who was always smiling and ever so happy. An added bonus was the large covered parking area for the motorcycles just outside the front desk - good security aspect. We didn't see one motorcycle that had to park out in the open or to be put back into their trailer at night. My husband and I will stay here again in the years to come and we will recommend the hotel to our friends and family. Can't imagine any place nicer.

Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous!
By MurielW, 03/08/07
Nags Head Inn is heaven! My family have been going for years.........There is everything you need available right in one spot! Sunny and hot, rainy and cold, it doesn't matter. NHI provides a superb beach for the good weather. A heated pool, hot tub and a good book make a great rainy, cold day! Relaxation or excitement is available! Central location to popular restaurants and attractions. There are not enough words to convey our satisfaction with NHI. Try it! I guarantee you will make it your vacation spot as well!

Relaxing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/06
We just spent memorial weekend at the Nag's Head Inn. It was very nice and comfortable. We liked that the beach was not crowded. We got plenty of rest and relaxation (just what the doctor ordered). Sue and the rest of the staff very very nice and friendly. We will see you in the fall for more fishing. Thank-You! EVA

Going back every off season
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/06
This is a great place to stay during off season. The view is wonderful and the location is perfect. This was the first time I went to Nags Head off season. This is a great place to have a romantic weekend getaway. The indoor pool and hot tub overlooks the ocean, which makes it really relaxing. The service is excellent and the hotel employees and management team were very friendly. Two thumbs up for this hotel. We are going to start going here during the off season every year.

Bad attitude
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/05
Looked like a nice place from the out side but the staff definitely had an attitude. I don't consider myself a very demanding customer but when I spend good money to stay someplace I do expect to be treated with a little more respect. Will stay somewhere else next time.
