Want to be charged what we were quoted!

We stumbled across the Ranch House Motel a few years ago on our way to visit family in Texas. The first stay was pretty good. The rooms were large and they let our family of six stay in one room. So, we thought we'd stay there again. Big mistake!
When I called to make the reservation I told them there were six of us and asked for two roll away beds. I also asked how much it would be for one night. I wrote down on my notes $80.00. (I still have them. I was quoted less, I'm pretty sure it was $79.00 but I rounded up because I was making several telephone inquiries regarding cost.) So, I was very surprised when my husband brought back the recipt with a charge of $114.99 + tax. I went to inquire at the front desk and was told that the manager was out of town and no one there was authorized to make changes to the room charges. I would have to wait until he is back in the country. He would be back sometime later but they didn't know when.
I talked to the girl at the front desk and she told me that they charge $11.50 for each rollway. So, if the room was $80.00 / night that would still only make the room $103.00. Hmmm. I asked her again why I was charged $114.99 for my room. She couldn't tell me and no one at the motel could make changes to the charges but the manager who was out of town.
So, I called back later. Actually, it has been 22 days since we stayed at the motel and the manager is still out of the country. I talked to his wife. I told her I was quoted $80.00 for our stay and asked if she could adjust the charge. She told me that I couldn't have been quoted that price because their rooms are $84.99 a night. Then she proceeded to tell me that there is a $7.00 per person charge for every person over four in a room and a $10.00 charge for each roll away. So, I should have been charged $118.99 a night and not $114.99 for the night. I told her that I should only be charged what I was quoted which was $80.00. I told her that I felt like it didn't matter what they charge. I was quoted $80.00 for the night and that is what I should be charged. If her employees made a mistake I shouldn't have to pay for it. She hung up on me twice!
I probably wouldn't have posted this negative of a review for the Ranch House Motel if I hadn't had such unsatisfactory service regarding the rates. We stayed in room #41. It is a no smoking room that reeked of old, stale smoke. The other problem was with their "free" breakfast. It was terrible. My children wouldn't even eat it. Even my husband said it wasn't very good. At least we knew about their tricky menu before we ate there. They have a full menu but there are only a few items included in the "free" breakfast.
I called the credit card company and they told me because my husband signed, we are obligated to pay. We can't protest. I guess that means we should have walked away at check out without signing the receipt.
Please don't think I'm only a negative reviewer and that I'm extremely picky I'm not. I just expect to be charged what I was quoted over the phone. On our trip we stayed in motels / hotels 9 different nights. There were several that I was extremely satisfied with. Some were new and had all the amenities and some were older independently owned motels. And, the prices ranged from $52.50 a night in Junction, TX to $165.00 a night in Galveston, TX.
