Super 8 Florida City Homestead, Florida City

Location was okay. Management helped a little, but were not friendly. No smiles at all. It seemed like doing there job was a bother. Dirty old dated room. Beware the bathroom. Stains in bathtub. Bed was lumpy. TV barely worked and outdated. Breakfast was awful. Bagel and coffee.

Bathroom was dirty and had ants crawling in it. Many people sitting outside their rooms, drinking, and making noise until late at night. The continental breakfast is nothing more than cereal, toast, bagels with no cream cheese, milk, coffee, and juice. There are only four chairs at two tables and the place is crowded if there are only a few people there. I wouldn't stay here again. The Days Inn over on Hwy. 1 is a much better value for the money even though it is about $10 more per night. I stayed at both places for one night each.

Great place to start vacation if driving down in to keys, flew in to ft lauderdale. Perfect location went to walmart really close to stock up for our vacation water, beer, ect. Close to Everglades National Park. The phone rang in the middle of the night dont know why we just unplugged it to fix that. Great place to stay to get ready after flying into airport.

It's a simple room, nothing special, but it was clean and everything worked fine. In the office, we had cereal and coffee in the morning. The breakfast area is quite small - not a lot of elbow room. On a 2nd pass through Homestead, I stayed again with the same results. Also, the office staff was friendly and helped us find a restaurant.

All I can say is... Bed bugs! Ok, I can't write a review that shout, so let me clarify, there were bed bugs in our room. We know, because I had a couple of welts, and my wife walked away with about 200 bites all over her body. She woke up in the middle of the night to one crawling across her face. Enough said?

The service was as though they did not care if we were there or not. The manager was not friendly. Our room was dirty. The floor was so black that I had to wear my slippers to get to the bathroom., The toliet did not flush well and the door would not shut.not to mention that the outlet and the washcloth rack was coming out of the wall. Oh,,,and take your own ice. the machine only give 5 at a time every 24 hours. I would NEVER stay here again. Spend the extra 30 dollars and go into Key West....it is worth every dime ! Don't think you will save anything but bad memories.

ok , the other 2 reviews must be written by the owners of this motel ... please see other review sites before reserving this motel! I had reserved 3 days with my family but we only stayed one night! The room was filthy. The mattresses were very old and placed very very low on the floor.The pillows were old , flat and yellow. The bathroom had hair on the floor and a dirt ring around the tub! The sink drained soooo slowly ( gross ) The walls of the room were yellowed ( this was supposed to be a non smoking room) and full of dirty smears. There was gum on the back of the door... near the lock. I went over to the front desk and explained the issues I had and the clerk said that perhaps housecleaning missed this room today! worst of all there were ants all this room and in bed with us that night...

Very close to the highway, conveniently located, staff very nice and helpful. Excellent place to stay if you're planning to visit Miami with a car
