Holiday Inn Express Chula Vista, Chula Vista

This is a very nice hotel with lots of nice staff. We felt at home during our stay. They have nice rooms and very reasonable prices. The breakfast was very good! Thank you!!!!

We loved it all! Nice hotel, nice breakfast and nice staff. We had no problems at this hotel. We stay at this hotel once a year when we visit our family.

the bathroom wasn't cleaned. towels where on the floor. soap in the bathtub. the carpet was old and dirty. the sheets didn't not have that fresh crisp smell to them.i wouldn't stay here!!!

We stayed for five days, although this hotel is not designed to be a resort, it is close to everything. We did not have any problems. The staff was friendly, the breakfasts were hot and the rooms were clean. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive stay in San Diego. This is a good choice.

My family had booked a room at holiday Inn Express at Chula Vista, California for two nights Sept. 24 & Sept 25, 2004. We were not happy with the hotel and checked out after the first night. We checked into room 325 (facing the freeway)around midnight and found the bathroom was not cleaned: towels on the floor, soap in the bathtub. We immediately requested to move to another unit. We were assigned unit 108 about half an hour after we made the call. Room 108 is on the other side of the building. This side of the building was under remodeling, so there were very limited parking spaces on this side. We had to park very far away from the room and carried the luggage and our two small sleeping children to the room. The second unit was cleaned. However, it was dark. The carpet was old and dirty. The bathtub was spotted with soap scum. The sheets were not crisp and did not have a fresh smell. The next morning we had breakfast in the dining room of the hotel. The dining room was also under remodeling, so there were only three small tables and eleven chairs which were all taken when we were there. So we had to stand. I had wrote to Customer Service to request a refund for the second night, which we did not stay; but I never heard from them. It's been a year and a half now.

I truly loved our room. It was very clean and had everything we needed (ie., blow dryer, iron and ironing board, etc. It was right of off the 805 freeway (Main St. exit). I would stay here again.

The Holiday Inn Express in Chula Vista gave us much more then we paid for. My Wife and I stayed here last week for our anniversary. We're not fancy people so we figured we'd stay in a cheaper place to stretch our stay out a few extra days. We got a really good price with our AAA discount but the hotel really exceeded our expectations. First, the location at first seemed really far away from all the things we wanted to do. But after we had checked in and actually started site seeing it seemed right next door. The hotel is very close to the 805 freeway, making it easy to find and get to, but without a lot of freeway noise which was nice. It took about 15 min. to get to Sea World, we didn't get to go to the Zoo but it would have been about 10 min to get there (we passed it often). We went to Coronado daily, which was only about 15 min away. The place was very clean. Impressivly so. With guest laundry services and a very nice continental breakfast every morning making our stay easier and a little nicer. My only caveat there is to wake up early to get breakfast, they stop serving at 9:30. The staff was very nice and were respectfull of the things we left in the room. They would clean around our items when ever possible, and try not to even move them. When it wasn't possible and our things had to be moved, they were set aside neatly and didn't look rifled through. Check out was a nice surprise too, everything was taken care of instantly. I simply had to tell them my room number and it was done. We will stay here again. It was a joy.
