Business as usual!

Location close to the Hyde Park Corner and Oxford street is central but there is still not much traffic and noise around. Metro-station could be located a little closer though. Cabs are always available for service in front of the main entrance. To get to Heathrow is a snap using a cab to Paddington and then Heathrow Express.
Only two check in/out counters may cause some queuing up from time to time. Elevators are scarce and tend to be slow.
Rooms (that I have seen in Oriental floors) were clean but little worn out. Internet access through tv is possible but rather costly. Wide area network internet access is also available. Bathrooms are clean, but getting a shower will require some pondering (as usual in the UK) for those who are used to practical faucets at home! Sink faucets can, however, be operated by one hand.
Breakfast buffet is ample, but hold on to your seat, plates and cups of tea/coffee while buffeting, as the service is swift indeed, or you may end up finding someone else using (what was thought to be) your seat when attempting to get back to the table. For those that wish to dine out, prepare to walk at least few blocks. There are no restaurants right across the street.
