Great Time
By Alberto, 5/23/12
It was our first time visiting Massachusetts and we had a great time! The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff really helped us out on restaurants and places we shouldn't miss. Will stay again!

Great food Terrible experience.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/11
To start, I was given a gift card to the resteraunt. I had heard of it but had never been. I called to inquire about the denomination of the gift card and was told that I had better write it down this time as inquiries cost them money. Shouldn't be an issue with the price of the meals..... This was the first and only inquiry I had ever made! First wrong move. Several hours later I made reservations with a different staff member. I remembered both of there names and that is how I know that it was two different people to whom I spoke. When my wife, daughter and I arrived, we were immediately asked if we were the people who had called earlier with the gift card. Very strange.... Second wrong move. Let me just say that I am fairly sucessful and I'm extremely lucky and fortunate enough to not need this gift card to eat there or any of the Luciano/ Lake pearl locations!!! On a good note, the staff walking around were very friendly, engaging and outgoing which I liked. We shared several laughs. Can't take anything away from the food either. I was delecious and to die for like I had expected!!!! Now for strike 3, the bill. As the bill came, the first thing the waitress said was, " Just so you know, you broke the card." As she was looking for our reaction, I realized or took this as she was concerned that we were not aware that we exceeded the limit of the gift card. As you read this article you probably realize I'm not the best speller or punctuator (thanks to spell check) but my math skills believe it or not are second to none!!!! It's very crucial as to how I make my money. If I were concerned, I would have gone to subway or stopped ordering as I approached the cards $100 limit. My bill came to approx. $123. This suggests to me that they were overly concerned with the $23 as they already knew and apparently discussed with one another that I was in posession of the $100 gift card! Everyone still with me. My wife quickly responded that breaking the card was not a concern. What I was about to do was pay for the whole meal with the cash that I had in my pocket. I decided not to however as I did not want the pleasure of experiencing such humility again by returning with the infamous card!!Instead I left the card and fifty additional dollars. A 22 percent tip. There's that Math I bost about!!!!! The last and final slap in the face came when the waitress took the bill holder from the table and inspected it for money right in front of us. My wife and I looked at eachother immedietly which enforced my belief that this woman and or establishment was concerned. This could have been done discretely as we were walking out or waiting for the valet attendent to retrieve our car!!!!! He was given a pretty good tip too. I paid him cash. He was thankful and did not seem concerned. I will go back when he starts managing the place. I have much better things to do than wast my time sitting here on a Saturday afternoon writing this. This is also my first time ever in my 36 years on this planet writing a review. This should show all of you reading this just how awful of an experience it was being treated this way. No worries Lou, I will still hit your Luciano's locations as they have never treated my family like this!!!!!! Manga!!

Unbelievable Service
By Christopher, 1/1/07
The Blackinton Inn was not only a beautiful place to stay, but the staff and service in general were beyond all of our expectations. We have stayed here twice now and the rooms are extremely comfortable (Hotel Quality). Additionally, the food is what I would expect at a four star restaurant.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/06
I have been to the Blackinton Inn many times and the last two visits have left me very disappointed. I asked for a fresh salad without the onions since I detest the flavor and scent. The onions were removed prior to serving and the salad remained pungent. The potatoes were cold and dry and the stuffed shrimp was tough and chewy. I ate one shrimp and asked to bring the rest of the meal home. The wait staff returned with all of the food mixed together on top of each other in a very small container. I should have asked for a new salad and different entree, but I did not. Our table was small and crowded and dishes were not removed as we finished our courses. Service was okay the waitress was pleasant but seemed to have too many tables. We had to wait for silverware and for drinks to be refilled. We did like our desserts and as always the atmosphere was very nice.

great dinner
By Joanne, 8/26/06
Had the fried calamari with hot peppers for an appetizer-large portion and tender. The fig salad was fantastic-this was a special. Tender, delicious baked scallops and a large, moist swordfish were the main courses ordered. The place was very clean, but the floors had just been refinished and that is all we could smell throughout the dinner. Otherwise, was a great evening out. Wait staff very attentive.

Living a Night of Luxury!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/05
This inn has character and sophistication. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room provided all the extras to make you feel right at home and then some! I felt extremely pampered there. The breakfast was utterly phenominal and the service was unbeatable! We're thinking of making it an annual experience on our anniversary.
