We stayed in this hotel for six days because my husband was attending a conference and found the hotel to be a wonderful place to stay - I would highly recommend it to everyone. The breakfast in the AM was fantastic and the managers reception in the evening was very relaxing. The people employed by the hotel were very friendly and very helpful at all times. We found it to be a very family oriented hotel. The only minus I would give it would be the pool - not big enough. Otherwise our experience was great I would give this hotel an A+.

Nice place for families
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/07
My husband and I stayed for one week. The hotel was very nice but very busy. Lots of families and children were running around. The pool area stayed busy all of the time. The breakfast each morning was nice but get there early as it gets crowded fast. The website said they had a car rental desk but they didn't. The Marriot hotel across the street did though if you need a car for the day (Enterprise). The hotel website also says overnight guests get 10% off their meal if they eat from the hotel restaurant but that wasn't the case either. Overall, the hotel is in a nice location, is close to the Metro and met all our needs. The rooms were clean and the staff were nice.

You will like this hotel..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/06
Great location. Parking is very convenient below the hotel- not around a corner as in many other Washington Hotels. Great rooms with flat screen high def. TV in the Living room. Free breakfast and cocktail hour is terrific. I loved the workout area so bring your sneakers. I like the conenvience of the restaurant in house. Good service.

We would come back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/05
Great place to base your family on a dc vacation. Very pleasant, great breakfasts, nice cocktail hour, and we looked forward to being tossed a cold bottle of water each day at the hotel's front door when our walk from the metro subway concluded after a hot day on the mall. Very nice and welcomed touch of class! However, the pool is tiny and more of the hotel personnel should have a much better grasp of the English language. Some of the employees who regularly interact with guests ought to be screened far more thoroughly for their communication skills. Several times we felt like we were in a "Candid Camera" skit.

Great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/05
This is our second time staying there and we have been pleased both times. Three kids and two adults fitted nicely into the suite type room. Complimentary cocktails and breakfast added value to the package. Walking distance to Alexandria. Joe Theisman restaurant next door. Metro right next to hotel gets you into DC in about 15 minutes. Convenient to 95.

Good Location, Bad Service
By Kara Jo, 05/25/05
Very nice neighborhood and location. We wer able to walk to most everything and a rental car was unnecessary. My husband and I attended a wedding in town and stayed here with the rest of the people in town for the wedding. The hotel put is in a room that had barely been cleaned and it was far away from everyone else. The hotel also overcharged everyone from the said contracted roomm rate. The hotel bar was supposed to stay open until 2 am for everyone after recepetion, but at 11:30 pm it was already closed when we returned, and the night mamanger was extremly rude.
