Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista, Orlando

My sister and i found this hotel online and made reservations. When we got there the place looked nothing like the pictures online. The man who checked us in asked us twice if we were traveling alone(thought that was weird). Then he gave us a piece of paper with our room key on in and our keys and told us to take it over to another man who worked there and he would give us a free gift for staying with them. (mind you none of the other 4 people checking in before us walked over to this man) He waved to the man and the man waved back to him. So we walked over to this man who worked there who also asked us if we were traveling "JUST THE TWO OF US" took our keys and piece of paper and gave us a free map for staying with them, then handed our keys back to us and told us to enjoy our night. We were put in the back building on the ground floor were it looked like noone else was staying and my sisters key would not work for the door but mine did. We walked into the room that was dirty and looked like a hooker hotel. If any one out there has ever seen the movie "Vacancy" thats the kinda vibe i was getting from this place. We left within 5 minutes of being in the room, they would not refound our money but at this point we did not care. 2 women traveling alone out of state asked by 2 male workers there 4 times if we were traveling alone and her key not working was enough to freak us out. My gut was telling me the mirror was a 2 way mirror and someone was gonna break into our room that night. CREEPY CREEPY place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 20 minutes from airport, but if you have to take a taxi it will cost over $50.00 ($56 from airport, and $52 from hotel) + tip. Room was typical budget hotel. Buffet was not very good and the service was slow, so we usually ate breakfast and planned dinner elsewhere. There are many good resturants within walking distance along Plam Parkway. Hotel shuttle to theme parks was great. Make sure you get a schedule at the desk. If you missed the bus, there is a city bus stop that goes to Disney, Sea World or Downtown Disney every 25 minutes ($2.00) . Make sure you confirm you reservations with hotel before leaving. I did and found out they had the wrong checkout date. Thought I had this straighteded out, but the person in reservations did not change the date when I talked to her so I had to call reservations again halfway through our vacation as the front desk is unable to help. Would probably consider this hotel for future vacations.

My family and I would Never stay at the Clarion agian... For many reasons.... From the time of our arrival the room was not ready, to the WIFI didn't work half the time in the room. The Boardwalk Buffet... Horrible.. we never saw our server until she dropped the check and apologized for not being there sooner... She had the nerve to put the gratuity on the check!! lol For What?? She did nothing... The Food was Very Low Quality... everything had a can taste....Never Again...

After traveling all day from Cincinnati, with a connection in Charlotte with 2 kids, the hotel gave away our room after we had called to say we would be later than 4:00. Then had to wait over an hour for their security officer to take us to their sister hotel. He then proceeded to take us to the WRONG hotel and they graciously took us to the right one. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone

we are a family of 4 we found the hotel ideal for our vacation the shuttle buses were always on time the rooms were cleaned every day we found the staff very helpful if you felt like having a a late morning the linx bus from outside the hotel will take you to sea world or disney or even down town disney for 2$ I would recomend this hotel if you are having a vacation to visit the parks we have booked already for 2011

This hotel was priced right and was clean my little one loved there new splash zone area right by the pool we had a hard time getting her out... The newly renovated rooms were needed from the last time we stayed and they came out great! We look forward to staying again soon

I've stayed here twice. Seems the beds were more comfy the last time but still not that bad. Priced affordably. Close to I 4 still I couldn't hear much traffic noise at night. Free cont. breakfast and the buffet was reasonably priced and the food was ok too. The room was clean both times...this last time the toilet was broken but maint.arrived pronto, and the problem was solved. Staff wasn't fluent in English but enough so you could get what you wanted/needed.

Stay away! Upon arrival, we found that our bathroom had not been cleaned.There was dirty foot prints and hair in the tub. The toilet had not been cleaned either. It had urine and hair on the rim. After 3 calls to housekeeping/front desk, we finally gave up and went to the store to buy cleaning supplies. I ended up cleaning it myself. They overcharged my credit card and when we inquired about it they told us they put a hold on it until check out for "incidentals". We were not told of this when we made the reservation OR when we checked in. Needless to say, I am STILL waiting for my credit back. After we got home, my husband broke out in a rash. After visiting the doctor we found out he has "BED BUGS"!!! $160 of medicine later, he is finally rash free. To sum it up - stay away!

This hotel is a good value, without question. However, remember-- you get what you pay for. I came home ate alive with bed bugs. The staff was rude and don't expect internet access because it doesn't work unless you pay the $10 a night to use the data cable. Very long lines for the breakfast, hardly worth the wait. My advice- check your matress! I travel often and this is my first experience with bed bugs, and it was not pleasant- I was miserable for two weeks after I got home.

The room was very small and the bathroom was very little. The dressor drawers were hanging (broke) and the room smelled funny. I asked for my money back and they kept my first night stay which wasnt fair since I had only been in the room for 5 min. But the rules are rules. The front desk was okay they could smile more though to make you feel more comfortable. But overall would never stay here again. Plus though was the location but thats it.
