Best Western Denver Southwest, Lakewood

Stayed one night while in town for Rockies game. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. Hotel was fully booked the night we stayed, but had no problems with noise. Breakfast was above average compared to other recent hotel stays. Light rail station within 5 miles worked well for getting downtown and back.

Spouse and I stayed at Best Western Denver-Southwest Lakewood CO on Sept 9-10-2007. The internet website talks about a tranquil setting, huh! We tended to disagree fully. We got to our room, never have I seen a dirty room so bad in all my life. The bed was not vacuumed around very good at all, dust balls under all furniture throughout the room and the bathroom. The sink was open to the floor under it, there were nothing but dirt, lint, hair, etc under there. We thought we would get a good nites sleep as we had to drive 1100 miles the next day, huh again!! At 9:00PM, there was a full bus of oriental people that came in, we both did not get any sleep that nite at all. Would it have done any good to call the front desk??, no, we decided against it as we felt it wouldn't help at all. The traffic noise out on the street alone was so loud, a person could not get any sleep at all, so that is our reason why a tranquil's nite sleep would not be had. When we turned in our keys the next morning, I mentioned our previous nite staying there to the gal at the front desk. She was not understanding to say the least. I had to pull her literally away from playing on the computer where I presumed the continental breakfast was going to be served. I thought maybe she would have taken 10 or 20% more off the total of the room after complaining about our stay there, she did not even suggest anything to accommodate us at all. In closing, I feel that if a whole bus load of people come into the hotel/motel, it is not up the customer to do the complaining of disorderly people in the hallways etc. The person at the front desk should have it in their job description to automatically monitor the hallways on each floor themselves, instead of playing on the computer alot. I wish anyone good luck in staying at this hotel in the future, please complain alot if a similar occurrence should happen to you. Overall experience is a 1. Service is a 1. Cleanliness is a 1. Value is a 2. Location is a 1.

Even if they have changed my reservation from a non-smoking to a smoking bedroom, the lady in the front desk was nice and helpful (at 1:00 a.m.!!), apologize and changed it back to my original request. Neat and clean bedroom and bathroom. Good service. Good location. Any time that I go back to Denver that will be my place to stay.

Booking on the internet provided a great price, used this hotel while being in town for a show at Red Rocks, it has clean rooms, good service, I was very happy.... highly recommended....

This hotel was an absolute dream. It was very very clean and the rooms were great with refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, iron. The staff was most helpful in giving directions and recommendations for dining, entertainment, etc. Also gave us driving directions for points of interest (Rocky Mountain National Park). Pool was clean, breakfast was unbelievable. Continential is an understatement. There were sausage biscuits, toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, muffins, three choices of juice, milk, coffee and even a specialty coffee bar which you could pay for. Best internet choice I have ever made. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone. We will definitely stay here again. Hagen Family, Austin, Texas
