Hotel Ghironi, La Spezia

The only good thing about this hotel is the room. The front desk staff was down right rude and not willing to help at all...Th eonyl thing they did do was allow us to store our bags when we got there a lil early. There was a woman that worked the front desk that always had a nasty look on her face when i asked her a question, we got yelled at for sitting wiht our legs crossed in the hotel lobby cause she was a afraid our feet would touch the chairs...Also they said they had internet for us to use, but everytime we wanted to use it they said we had to come back later. Also there was a transit strike which we did not know about yet they stills old us bus tickets when every local knew what was going on. They have a shuttle bus but aparently it only runs in the morning so if you need to go to the train station about a mile away you are going to be stuck paying for a cab or witing 45 minutes for the bus because apparently once the sun comes up they dont like to use the shuttle. And lastly one of the reps explained to me how to make calling card calls from the room and i did exactly what was told and yet the rude woman said I didnt know what i was doing and tried to charge me 31 euros for a few phone calls and I refused to pay it because it was her rep that told me how to make the calls...Overall I would never stay here again and it is not a good base for Cinque Terre because it is located in an area no where near where you want to be and the area is filthy!
