America's Best Inn, Anchorage Eagle Nest, Anchorage

The room is horrible. Dirty, dirty, and dirtier. A/C didn't work. First floor, window was broken, wouldn't close and wouldn't lock and no screen in Alaska with giant mosquitos. Cord for A/C ran across floor. No carpet. Screw sticking out of wall where picture had been. Cigarette burns in bed spread. wHOLE PLACE SMELLED LIKE SMOKE. I asked for a refund and have yet to receive it two weeks later. Can't reach manager "Suzanna" who only comes in at 11 p.m. Terrible place no matter how reasonable. Did I say DON'T GO THERE?

We started making reservations about 6 months before visiting , (for 19 people) We read reviews about this hotel and sorta reluctant to stay,but after calling several times Suzanne assured me that this would be a good place to stay and it was very inexpensive, the current owners bought this hotel when it was not new, they are renovating it and I was very please with both the beds and very pleased with the friendly family who ran this hotel.I would stay again when We return to Alaska.Thank you so much for all the running around to pick us all up from airport and taking my husband to the store for insulin needles, and being so accommodating to make us all satisfied. I would recommend this hotel over the 5 star we stayed in Canada.See ya Soon!!

The child at the front desk knew nothing. The light was out at the end of the hall so I couldn't find my room. It was so noisy all night I couldn't sleep. The sounds from the street were like the window was open. The bedding is worn, the tile floor was beautiful but sandy filling. The person at the front desk in the morning,couldn't even look away from her big TV to say goodbye. Anchorage is ugly but this hotel is uglier.
