Our new favorite place to stay!
By J, 11/30/09
Our stay was a wonderful experience. We received a warm and courteous welcome from the innkeeper. Wine and coffee was served during the cocktail hour along with some delicious breads and pie. The hot meal served for breakfast was different each day and was very satisfying. Free parking was a short walk from the inn which was very convenient. Our room - the Confederate Room - was clean and the decor was very warm. The bed was very comfortable and provided restful sleep. This room is located on the first floor beside the dining room and kitchen which may be disruptive to those who would like to sleep in. Since we are early risers, passing horse-drawn carriages and the minor noise from the kitchen wasn't an issue for us. The room has a private entrance which is locked by guests as they enter/leave - this adds a great sense of security. Holiday decorations was a lovely touch and added significantly to the welcoming environment. Our stay was so relaxing - we are looking forward to visiting again very soon!

We LOVED it!
By blissgirl, 11/24/08
My husband and I stayed at the Casa de Solana for our honeymoon and feel that we couldn't have made a better choice. The innkeepers, Luis and Jeffrey, were an absolute delight and made us feel welcome right from the start. The inn is beautifully decorated, full of charm and CLEAN! We also enjoyed the home cooked breakfast offered every morning. We were sad to leave, but we definitely plan to come back again!

I really loved the view , the balcony, the sound of the horses galloping by, the peace and quiet at night, and the service was marvalous. I think everyone should expierience a stay at casa de solana. My husband really enjoyed his birthday gift ,a few days at casa de solana, we are still talking about the great time we had there, we will be returning. Sincerely, Mark and Dianne Wilson.I do feel that thereas's room need a bigger TV

Will come again
By Antonia, 07/21/07
While the new owners (Only owned for 2 weeks when we went) have a few kinks to work out to make things perfect the overall experince was lovely. The staff was very friendly, the food they served was wonderful, they were helpful and very accomodating. The room (The Confederate) was very nice, the tub was large enough for two, it was small but not too small for just the two of us, the fireplace wasn't working when we went but I'm sure it will be fixed soon, there was complimentary sherry in the room which added a very elegant air, the bed was very confortable (even better than the one at home). The location was very convenient, all of the historic district was within walking distance and the beach within a short 5 minute drive. The only draw back was the parking situation, the parking for the B&B was several blocks away, which was inconvenient but seemed to be the norm for the B&Bs in the area.

Beautiful place, nice week-end
By Dale, 02/16/07
I took my wife for a long week-end to celebrate her birthday. The staff is warm and friendly and very knowledgable of the area. The house is beautiful. We stayed in the confederate suite. It is very quaint (read could use some updating an maitenance) but overall very nice, cozy and enjoyable. Breakfast was served in a very English B&B style dining room, food was great, coffee & tea was hot and fresh. Grounds are beautiful and it is very conveniently located - easy walking to anywhere is the historic district. Overall a great place to get away to. We would definitely go back.

Everything was so perfect. The room was extraordinary. Very tastefully decorated. The location and courtyard were wonderful. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We would love to visit again.

Have stayed in many B&B's in many places, though this is certainly not the most elegant, the staff and guests made it one of the most comfortable and memorable.
