Lake Front Motel, Cooperstown

I thought this place was clean, nice and in a great location. It was a bit expensive but all the other hotels in the area were just as much or more. Rooms can be from 100 to 150 dollars, mine was the 150 dollar room only because they had no $100 rooms available, book early and i think you can get a better deal than i did.

The toilet was constantly backing up and the only relief we got was being handed a disgusting filty pail and plunger. We constantly had to plunge the toilet ourselves every time the toilet was flushed. The management acted like they could of cared less about the situation and where was a maintenance staff? The hairdryer unit was falling off the wall. The sink in the bathroon was leaking, had extremely low water pressure. We asked for two extra towels (towels were paper thin) and the response from the cleaning personnel was very poor, they acted like they didn't want to accomodate our request. Also it was noted that sheets were changed only every three days, I don't think this is the standard rule in all other motel/hotels. There was only one trash container in the entire room that was so small we didn't know where to put any other trash. We stayed at this hotel for it's location attending a wedding in the immediate area. We were charged $165.76 a night (we stayed two nights) for the motel; we have stayed in motels/hotels for $59/night that were100% better. We would never recommend it to family and friends. The only positive thing we could say is that we had breakfast in the restaurant every morning and it was good, the waitresses were very friendly and accomodating.

Room was simple, needs a few more amenities (shampoo in little bottles, coffee maker, but the staff was very friendly. The room was more than comfortable. Loved the attached restaurant and it was really a stroke of genius to have the lake so conveniently placed in front of the motel!

its a great place to stay, if your ok with small rooms. when we booked the room 2 months in advance.. we were told we'd be getting a "larger smoking room, facing the lake, and that the bar/restaurant was open till 10. however, when we checked it, we found out not only was our room non smoking(no rooms were smoking)but that our room was facing the parking lot, and the restaurant was closed. however, the location is fantastic, and offseason, the price is fine.

i stayed a few years ago, nothing spectactular, great location, great price, rooms small but nice, resteraunt ok, walk to hall of fame and main street, if youre just going to sleep in room and not looking for anything fancy this is pretty good

My wife and I have stayed at the Lake Front at least 6 times in the last three years. We have always found it to be clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and we generally eat breakfast at the motel. Our interaction with the owners has always been pleasant and we have found them to be very helpful when advising us on local information.
The only thing that we do when going to the Lke Front is to bring our own pillows, because we have found those supplied a bit small for our liking.
