This is what they promised and that's exactly what they delivered! A dream like romantic escape where my partner Michael proposed to me in this magical European atmosphere of old Quebec City. To top that, we even had snow on the morning of the 26th. Apparently the first storm of the season. It was truly a magical experience; Horse carriage ride, champagne and the most beautiful ring I could hope for� This small hotel is a home away from home and in every way a delight to your senses. The service is impeccable! We loved the romantic quality yet it's so practical and not too fussy. It definitely has its unique characteristics. The interior is really stylish, in a classic Victorian style reminiscence of the early 1900's. - Christmas decorations where amazing! Rooms are truthfully comfortable, clean and well maintained at all time. The location was terrific to walk and enjoy the city. What as not been express already? We felt right at home and quite pampered and safe... We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for any couple visiting old Quebec City. The magic of Old Quebec City and the ambiance of the Hotel Le Clos Saint-Louis is a awesome combination for the perfect romantic gateway! During the first weekend of December my husband surprised me with a romantic pre Christmas shopping gateway at the Hotel Le Clos Saint-Louis in Old Quebec City. (We normally will only stay in 5 stars hotels while traveling). Well, what else can you say about perfection? This small romantic hotel is truly a home away from home and in every way a delight to your senses. In fact, we loved everything in this hotel. The service is impeccable, our room was truly amazingly romantic and the staff did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Happy to report� they did! I would definitely stay at the Clos St-Louis again, and we've stayed in all the major five star hotels in Quebec and Montreal over the years.

If you're dreaming of a calming and luscious experience to celebrate your honeymoon in Old Quebec City, Hotel Le Clos Saint-Louis is an incredible combination of modern conveniences and cultural enclaves where French and English tradition is fiercely protected in this Victorian style home. After reading the former reviews on TA and brides magazines, we decided to book this hotel for our second honeymoon trip to Quebec City. Good decision! There's not much too add to what you already read here before.. They will truly take care of all the details for you in advance to create the perfect honeymoon trip in this magnificent city. Everything comes together in this small hotel, from the welcoming receptionist to the rooms, large and comfortable with a terrific location, a professional staff - couldn�t be better! We were absolutely shocked at the size and luxurious ness of our room � romantic, intimate and silent. There must have been at least 10 other couples celebrating their anniversary or honeymooning during our stay. As mentioned the reception staff were wonderful and totally bilingual. The breakfast room was comfortable and non-smoking. The continental breakfast buffet style was all you'd expect - cheeses, juices and Tea &Coffee, pastries and boiled eggs, and plenty of fruit and yoghurts, fresh croissant and home made banana bread. Did we mention continental breakfast! A honeymoon is a time of celebration, passion and romance, a fleeting period of focussed tenderness that all too soon takes a back seat to the rush of daily life. Given the brevity of this exhilarating moment, this is the one time in your life when you need no excuse to splash out by indulging in an exotic getaway. The hotel le Clos Saint-Louis�s staff has given us the perfect second honeymoon trip to Old Quebec and we would recommend this small historic paradise to anyone looking for the best value for their money. My husband and I stayed at the romantic Clos Saint-Louis for 3nights early September celebrating our 30th anniversary. Our stay was flawless! We were in a wonderful room, well decorated, very classy and truly comfortable. The beds are supremely comfortable and the pillows were just right. This small slice of heaven is also incredibly clean with great facilities. The hotel is extremely closed to everything as mentioned in other reviews. Perfect English and French speaking staff. Delightful, pleasurable, calm, everyone went out of their way to help us with directions, find good restaurant etc. The continental breakfast was plenty and very enjoyable- way more then a regular continental breakfast ought to be! We truly enjoyed our stay and we are pleased to have chosen the Clos Saint-Louis based on the credibility of all their reviews on the web. My husband & I have just returned from a 2 nights stay at Le Clos Saint-Louis for our 10th anniversary trip to Old Quebec... What can I say about this amazing place that hasn't already been said! It was truly like going back in time from the momment we walked thru the front door! We stayed on the main floor, room # 1, the Mary Robinson, and this room was absolutely perfect for us!! So cozy & well decorated, you can tell a lot of time and thought went into the details & that the owner, Ghyslaine, researched the era & made this place as authentically victorian as possible! The breakfast in the mornings are all homemade from scratch & absolutely delicious!! From the eggs, ham & homemade banana bread to the fresh fruits and coffee, everything was perfect! I would also like to say a special "thank you" to Paul-Emile who works there... What a charming & interesting man to talk to, he really is a special part of this place and made my stay even more enjoyable with his funny stories & educated suggestions on things to do in the area... In closing, I would like to say that this place was worth every penny and that if you are looking for the perfect spot to renew or celebrate your love then the Clos Saint-Louis will not disapoint! My husband & I not only fell in love all over again but we also fell in love with this hotel and cannot wait to return to sample a different exquisite room each and every time... Looking for a romantic spot to celebrate or rejuvenate your love in Old Qu�bec City? Looking for a place where the owner will make you feel like royalty? Thanks to our dearest friends who made the reservation for all of us at the Hotel Le Clos Saint-Louis. Everything about this small townhouse style hotel was wonderful from start to finish. The hotel is very well located, the level of service from the owner is simply amazing and the x-mas decorations in the living room were simply divine, this lounge area is so relaxing and welcoming. The owner leaves absolutely no detail overlooked. We had the room number 19 and our friends booked the room for their second time. One suggestion, book early! We booked over a month in advance and could only get 3 nights there. Lots of honeymooners and romantic couples like us who needed to get away for a few days to reconnect in an intimate environment... The treatment and experience we received at the Clos St-Louis was worthy of royalty! P.S. Their website is simply one of the best in the industry!
