Motel Montreal, Lake George

Just got back from a four night stay at the Motel Montreal - Great place for a family to stay - very clean rooms and pool - walking distance to Lake George Village - discount tickets to area attractions. We will defintely stay here again next year for our summer vacation :) p.s. When staying at the Motreal Montreal - make sure to say hi to Capone (The owners old english bull dog)

The Motel Montreal is such a great motel. I wanted something close to the action of Lake George’s night life but didn’t want to pay the village motel/hotel prices. You get a clean comfortable room, and a great pool, for a lot less price. I tell all my friends about the place and recommend it to all.

Three of us friends met at Motel Montreal because it was the only motel available within walking distance of Horicon weekend. We were on different work schedules we checked into the Motel at different times. My first friend to arrive checked and to her surprise the gentleman behind the counter curtly said to her “ARE YOU PARTIERS? How embarrassing and rude! We are three professionals over the age of 50! Yes, we did have a few drinks on the boat does that make us “unworthy” consumers?” The room was $120. We had to pay an extra 20 dollars for a third person, but we did not receive extra towels. The room was small and “dusty” smelling. The next morning was a hot and beautiful so we packed up our cars by 10:30, and decided we would like to stay for a swim before we left. The same man ran right over to us and said “YOU KNOW CHECK OUT IS AT 11:00~!! We said yes, our cars are parked and we have a half hour to swim. He boldly replied “MY INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER YOU IF YOU STAY AFTER 11:00~!!. Well, needless to say we will never go back to the Motel Montreal.

Rooms are very clean. Dennis and Teresa are very helpfull in finding areas to either shop or eat. Motel is located walking distance to all shopping, dining and the lake itself. Pool is great and parking in front of our room is always key!! We have been staying at the Montreal for 4 years straight and we look forward to going back every year.

The motel was great, the owners very friendly, I felt as if I was at home. The location is excellent, very quiet and relaxing. Teresa couldn't have been more accomadating to us. Always a pleasant conversation we her. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I recommend that you stay at Motel Montreal whenever you get a chance to visit Lake George, NY.

The location was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. I was impressed with how clean everything was. Owners were very friendly and helpful. I will definately stay here again. Wonderful motel. I highly recommend it.

We are so pleased to say that our three day stay at Motel Montreal was an extremely pleasant one. We loved the quite nights, fun filled days at the pool and the hospitality of the owners. We asked for beach towels and they accomodated us. The room was cleaned exceptionally well. No one bothered you and the other people who stayed at the motel were friendly. We loved the fact that everything was within walking distance to all the attractions and the stores. Restaurants where in abundance of walking distance also. Thumbs up to the owners and we look forward to next year. We had a great time. Christine and Joe

Super service by the hostess Teresa...she landed us a cooler, she gave us tips on how to save on restaurants and activities, she gave us directions to every place we wanted to go, she even went on the Internet to check out what the temperature was going to be like the next day! The rooms were very very clean. The kids loved the big undergroud pool. See you soon...Franka & Kathy

This is the best discovery i ever made. We are a motorcycle group and recently book 12 rooms at the Montreal Motel.Very clean and very bike friendly, On behalf of the group i would like to thank the owners Dennis and Teresa for their outstanding hospitality.

no complaints about the cleaning staff or the location BUT-- i was pretty sure that i asked for a queen or king but it looked as though all rooms in our section had a double and a single.. definitely not good sleeping arrangements.. if it's a room for 2 people, why not put one larger bed??? and the biggest complaint we have is the noise from upstairs.. the guest above us was an early riser and as he walked around the room, i was sure he'd wind up in our bed with us.. the ceiling creaked terribly and this along with the small bed made for a lousy nights sleep.. so, although the location, value and cleanliness were OK, i'd rather pay a bit more for a real bed and a peaceful night.
