Motel Montreal, Lake George

Stayed there at the end of April just as they were opening. The owners were very nice to my family and the rooms look great. Hotel is close to the lake and the town and we were able to walk to everything. Price was fine and we will probably return later this summer when the weather gets better. Would definitely recommend and will come back.

My family stayed here in Summer 2011 and we had a great time. The owners were very friendly and helpful and they saved us a bundle of money on Great Escape tickets and waterslide tickets. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We highly recommend and we will be back.

Disliked everything about the place. The rooms were beyond disgusting. DIrty bathrooms and crumbs all over. I highly do not recommend anyone to ever stay here!

My wife and I traveled to Lake George for Labor Day weekend and stayed at the Motel Montreal. The hotel is walking distance to downtown and the lake but is a lot less expensive than other hotels. The rooms were clean and had new fridges and microwaves and the owners were very friendly and always onsite. We enjoyed our stay and we will most certainly return next year!

Owner and wife both gave me difference prices when called. Room is Decent beside the broke refrigerator, and hairs on bathroom wall.. :o we reserved 3 rooms for 8 us(7 girls). And only allowed one hairdryer/ one iron.!!! Anyways the worst motel i ever stayed in, will not come back in furture.

Just got back from a four night stay at the Motel Montreal - Great place for a family to stay - very clean rooms and pool - walking distance to Lake George Village - discount tickets to area attractions. We will defintely stay here again next year for our summer vacation :) p.s. When staying at the Motreal Montreal - make sure to say hi to Capone (The owners old english bull dog)

The Motel Montreal is such a great motel. I wanted something close to the action of Lake George’s night life but didn’t want to pay the village motel/hotel prices. You get a clean comfortable room, and a great pool, for a lot less price. I tell all my friends about the place and recommend it to all.

Three of us friends met at Motel Montreal because it was the only motel available within walking distance of Horicon weekend. We were on different work schedules we checked into the Motel at different times. My first friend to arrive checked and to her surprise the gentleman behind the counter curtly said to her “ARE YOU PARTIERS? How embarrassing and rude! We are three professionals over the age of 50! Yes, we did have a few drinks on the boat does that make us “unworthy” consumers?” The room was $120. We had to pay an extra 20 dollars for a third person, but we did not receive extra towels. The room was small and “dusty” smelling. The next morning was a hot and beautiful so we packed up our cars by 10:30, and decided we would like to stay for a swim before we left. The same man ran right over to us and said “YOU KNOW CHECK OUT IS AT 11:00~!! We said yes, our cars are parked and we have a half hour to swim. He boldly replied “MY INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER YOU IF YOU STAY AFTER 11:00~!!. Well, needless to say we will never go back to the Motel Montreal.

Rooms are very clean. Dennis and Teresa are very helpfull in finding areas to either shop or eat. Motel is located walking distance to all shopping, dining and the lake itself. Pool is great and parking in front of our room is always key!! We have been staying at the Montreal for 4 years straight and we look forward to going back every year.

The motel was great, the owners very friendly, I felt as if I was at home. The location is excellent, very quiet and relaxing. Teresa couldn't have been more accomadating to us. Always a pleasant conversation we her. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I recommend that you stay at Motel Montreal whenever you get a chance to visit Lake George, NY.
