Romantic getawy - no way!
By Christine, 1/8/09
Liked: the view (which will vanish as they expand the buildings) Major dislike: the stinky perfume worn by our waitress. Other dislikes: the cold room; the lack of breakfast choices.

The ultimate Sea Ranch experience
By stacyo, 1/29/07
The Lodge is a great escape if you want a relaxing vacation where you'll enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the 10-mile stretch of Sea Ranch. The hotel has no TV or radio, so either bring a book, your laptop and a good DVD or just enjoy watching the ocean. Most of the rooms have amazing views of the ocean. Hiking/walking trails begin directly behind the hotel and offer spectacular vistas of the California coast and an up close view of beautiful Sea Ranch architechture. If you're not into the walk, enjoy a cocktail at the hotel's lounge which provides great views without having to break a sweat. Some nearby restaurants are quite lovely -- and the restaurant at the Lodge serves a delicious dinner and casual lunch or breakfast. If you're looking for hot nightlife and great shopping, Sea Ranch is not for you.

Best stay ever
By Flasurferguy, 1/9/07
I stayed here in December of 2005. I have to say that I had one of the few rooms with a TV, but I never used it! My room had an great patio and my own Hot Spring spa. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the dining exp was superb. I can honestly say that this stay was the most relaxing and finest I have ever had. I had dinner, soaked in the Pacific ocean view and retired to my room for a soak. I saw deer as I was walking back to my room. I soaked in the hottub, returned inside and read a book on the plantlife of the Sea Ranch under soft light before heading to bed. A great place and a great stay!
