Alamo Square Inn, San Francisco

The room was clean and well appointed although short on ammenities- the charm of the site was tarred by the exceedingly rude and inhospitable behavior of the male manager who seemed to feel that as guests, our existence interrupted his space. We were treated dismissively and without hospitality- our questions about the area were met with a smirking superiority and little viable content. The breakfast that he prepared was of a poor quality( packaged english muffins and lifeless scrambled eggs) and insufficient quantity. There was no evening wine as we were promised and the site seemed poorly secured. The building was cold, the towels threadbare, and the lighting was dim. After one day of rude behavior we sought other accomosdations. I have never had such a rude experience, directly that of management, and would advise against this bed and braekfast.
