Best New York City Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/15/07
This hotel has the best location ifyou plan to do the tourist-type activities in NYC and plan to go to the theatre. We were merely blocks from everywhere. Subway is only 1.5 blocks away. Nice theme rooms and Rick's Cafe provided continential style breakfast and wine and cheese receptions every day. Staff was courteous and freindly. This will be my NYC hotel!

Won't Stay Anywhere Else!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/28/07
Service is wonderful, love the 2nd floor where they have continental breakfast, wine and cheese in the evenings, and drinks and snacks all day. It would be hard to be closer to Times Square!

My favorite NYC hotel!
By Darcie, 1/19/07
We've stayed here four times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They're happy to help with directions or restaurant suggestions. On my first visit, I had a severe headache in the wee hours of the morning and called the front desk to see if anyone had some pain reliever. A staff member insisted on running to the drug store to get me some medicine! We've gone there ever since. Also, it's the perfect location! (My only wish was that it was cheaper.)

A shining star!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/11/06
Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time we left. The staff was very helpful and friendly and there to answer any questions about the city that we had. The room was wonderful and very clean. Rick's Cafe on the 2nd floor was great always had coffee, tea, juice, cookies around the clock. A great buffet breakfast every morning! A very quiet place even though Times Square and Broadway were just a few steps away. It was a wonderful spot and we will be back!

A little gem
By kathryn, 11/17/05
You can not fault this hotel, its a fantastic find. The service was excellent. The hotel was very ornate and well decorated (morrocan style). Ricks cafe (albeit realy just a couple of well appointed sitting rooms) offered round the clock coffee and cakes. the breakfast was very good as was the cheese and wine/champagne (which was a good vintage too) in the weekday evening... infact it saved us a packet on eating out as once we had had our cheese ect we did not feel like eating later on. It also encouraged people to socialise which was great, a nice touch was the pianist on frid eve. You also have a great Italian next door(there is a door in the lobby which takes you right into the resteraunt) BE WARNED the portions are for 3 people and very good ($15). Right next to that you have a micro brewery. Turn right out of the hotel and your smack bang in times square.

Times Square Hotel Heaven
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/05
We have stayed in various NYC and Times Square area hotels, but found the Casablanca only when our "usual" hotels were booked. We need look no more for our annual visit to the City! Perfectly located for our needs,we had a quiet interior room that was smallish but elegant, and a beautiful marble bath. Service was the best we have experienced, with a very friendly staff who never seemed ruffled. Like the other reviewers, we found the Cafe a pleasant place for breakfast, wine and cheese, and to meet friends.

Everything one could hope for
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/05
Staff were happy to help, very kind, gracious and friendly. The room was perfect for the two of us, very comfortable and cozy. Complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, wine and cheese were beautifully done in Ricks Cafe. They even had Coffee, tea and cookies around the clock. This was great when you are tired after walking around NY. This cafe was warm and inviting and allowed you to talk to other guests. I loved it! Only steps from Times Square and the theater district the location was beyond my wildest dreams! It doesn't get too much better than this. Bravo Casablanca!! You made our trip a wonderful memory!!

Romance just off Times Square
By Kadesh, 9/14/05
During our stay in NYC, we experienced the lovely and movie-themed Casablanca hotel, a quaint throw-back to Bogart and Bergman in 1942. The small hotel managed to meet all our needs while in NY - the concierge was available for every kind of entertainment need in spite of what seemed to be a very small staff; the 2nd floor lounge was constantly stocked with snacks and drinks and a cozy atmosphere that guests felt comfortable breezing in and out of at various times of day; and nothing could beat the proximity to Times Square and all the big theatres. I'll definitely be booking a room in Casablanca every time I head north so I can sleep well in the City that never sleeps.
