The Durango Mountain Resort is a mountain is a central ground between the quintessential Colorado mountain town of Durango and the uniqueness of the Four Corners Region.Set into the mountain, the hotel offers deluxe king rooms or multi-room suites featuring panoramic views. Most include wood-burning fireplaces, and all offer guests hot tub and swimming pool privileges. The amenities offered are a 24-hour front desk, free garage parking, nearby fitness center (fee), complimentary ski shuttle, hot tubs, laundry, indoor pool privileges (Cascade Village), complimentary Internet access, business service, and more.Cozy studios include a queen-size pull down Murphy bed, fireplaces and kitchenettes including mini-refrigerators, two burners, coffee pots, toasters, and microwaves. The more spacious studio for four features a dividing partition between the Murphy bed and the queen size sofa sleeper.

BEST PLACE EVER

purgatory is so nice you will want to keep going back.the service is nice the slopes are nice and soft except the ice patches those are hard. the slopes are gentel smooth they also have green slopes for kids there are a bunch of them two i rember is walk alot ( you have to do alot of walking)the other is angel (nice soft slope that takes you to a blue slope but it is a SLOW blue so don't worry about the kids on that slope. the restaurants and hotels are nice.

Never Again

If you take the vacation package with Southwest Airlines, what they forget to tell you is that the Shuttle is not FREE. You will be stuck in the hotel. The restaurants also close whenever they want, with the maximum time being 6pm. There is NOTHING to do at night. The staff is also young adults who don't care if you are happy or not. This is a great location for skiing but the hotel accommodations are awful!! Also, do not purchase the WIFI connection, it is slower than dial-up.

Beyond all expectations

The facilities and staff were way beyond my expectations. The manner in which I was treated made me feel like royalty. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and down to earth. The staff took care of my luggage from the moment I disembaked from the plane to the time I reboarded 4 days later. My room and view of the mountain convinced me I was in a dream world. The resturants were superb -clean,efficient and the food was terrific. The wait staff at the resturants anticipated my needs and were extremely helpful. The Creekside Resturant made me feel me feel I was part of their family. The ski instructors were highly professional and friendly. Even the maid service and front desk was the best I have everexperienced. I have skied at numerous resorts in the US and Europe. I can say without any hesitation whatsoever, that Purgatory is by far The Best. The lifts and slopes were heavenly. My hat is off to the superb service by the customer service volunteers and lift operators. Purgatory is now my one and only ski course course
