Budget Inn, Clear Lake

the price wasn't bad but the room was falling apart. the chair in the room was broken,it had a funny smell and the room key card took 10 times before it would let you in. we told the front desk and they didn't care! then we turned on the tv. It had lines on all the channels. then when we looked out the window and saw the pool it was part full of black water with garbage floating in it..it was off season but still a bad site.also outside our window was a pile of old mattresses. I will not ever stay again!!

The place had cockroaches!!! The beds were REALLY uncomfortable and the place looked run down on the outside. It was $71 for 4 people so it wasn't cheap at all.

This is a budget motel. That said, the service was good and the room clean. But it could use a little freshening. It was a fine place to stay for a night while traveling, but if you are going to be in the area for a while you might want to check elsewhere.
