O so bad!
By ,
I have to start in saying I had no clue this was attached to the hospital, which it is. Also it is very old and not updated. I had pipes leaking brown goo from them running in the open on the cealing of our room. The smell of the cleaning soultion was so strong it gave me a head ache. We checked out after the first night and moved to the super eight wich was a 100X better. I will never stay here again.

A moderate walk to the Safeco field and Pike's market made this hotel a good choice for us. The front desk people were very friendly, and helped us find our way around Seattle. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and a random alarm clock went off at 7 a.m. on a box under the T.V. For some reason, the maid tried to get into our room at 8 in the morning, and after seeing we were still in there, she remained loud outside in the halls with another maid. For the size of the room, and lack of general amenities for the price we paid, I doubt we will be returning to this hotel.

Go Across the Street
By ,
The beds weren't comfortable and that staff was not very personable. I thought the rates were too high too, especially since we have medical bills. After our stay we found out about the Baroness Hotel across the street. They had better rates so we tried it the last time we were in town and loved it. Our advice: Go across the street.

A Portal Elegance
By ,
If you are looking for the glitz of modernity this one is not for you. The rooms are truly a touch of the past yet up to the moment in terms of amenities. The dining area is truly elegant and service with attention and personal touch is the hallmark. You will enjoy your stay.

Great place to stay
By ,
We stay at the Inn twice a year for a night or two each time. The only thing we dislike are the beds! They need new ones. I come for medical reasons, and they could not be more accommodating. Excellent rates for a nice room, especially when you also have health costs to worry about. One great benefit is the close proximity to downtown for dining, shopping, sight seeing, etc. We never rent a car as the Inn provides easy access to anywhere in downtown Seattle by walking or taking a cab. It is our home away from home.

The Inn at Virginia Mason
By ,
the location is perfect if you are going to Virginia Mason Hospital or clinic. The hotel connects to the hospital. Parking is a problem. There are very few spots available for the hotel so you probably will have to park in the clinic garages which are
not convenient and are locked early in the evening. I think the hotel restaurant is mediocre but some people consider it good. The beds are too hard for my taste. Ask for a room on the north side of the hotel - on the south you will hear ambulances all night.
