Too Much Train Noise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/20/11
These cabins are located virtually next to railroad tracks. The trains run all night and their horns are very loud. If you want a decent nights sleep look elsewhere.

Would go back.... train and all.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/08
We stayed in the 1 bedroon deluxe cabin, it was very nice, jacuzzi tub ( although I do not think it was working at full par), bed very comfy with comfy duvet. Staff was very friendly, if you need anything...they are more than happy to comply. The store has all the little things you may have forgot or need more of, they even have some frozen foods..movies for rental...even pet foods. My children loved it there also even with the train running through at all hours and blowing it's horn through the crossing ( they did not even hear it at night) we would still come back (there is history with the trains through the Rocky Mountains which I find intriguing ). The only thing I disliked is our cabin's living room window faced the next cabins living room and bedroom window and when you sit on your porch you are facing more cabin's living room windows ...so maybe they should have been more strategically placed for a bit more privacy for each persons staying there ( I would perfer more privacy...if I stayed again I would ask for cabin # 6...it is placed just right.... we stayed in #5.) All in all a great place to stay, more than comfy. Firewood is free (all you need.. they deliver) and they supply the "starters ( small splinters and paper to get your fire started...your fireplace is ready to start when you arrive) and they have all you would need as far as dishes and utensils for bbqing and cooking,a dishwasher and ...they do your dishes at no extra cost. If you are looking to be pampered... these cabins may not be for you...(our bathroom was not cleaned the second day)....but for my family we would definitely stay again... Castle mountain is right out your door ...serenity... to say the least. Pet friendly cabins and great staff!! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!!

Oh My God
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/20/07
I always specifically call and ask if the location is quite as I am a light sleeper. I was assured by who ever answered the phone that this location was. Beautiful place but unfortunately less than 100 yards from a busy train track. The train blows its horn several times when coming to the street crossing. The train came by no less than 9 times between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. I couldn't sleep at all. I went to the office the next morning and asked for the manager who was still sleeping. I said get him up because I didn't sleep at all. He tried to tell me that the train was just part of the natural surroundings. I said a wolf howling is natural, not a train and I checked out. I told my credit card company not to let them charge me for any more nights. How ridiculous for $230.00 per night.

Peace and quiet, not quite.
By Jim, 6/28/04
If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway, be careful of this location. Admittedly, the cabins are nice. Rustic. No phone service or internet service. Should make for a quiet, relaxing getaway. What's not mentioned is that the chalets are located next to a railway level crossing. The trains sound their horns when they approach this crossing, both day and night.

We were there for our honeymoon, and had I known about the noise, another place would have been chosen.
