Vasa Hotel, Gothenburg

Vasa Hotel staff are very friendly & helpful, provide good recommendation of places to eat around the hotel's vicinity. The hotel environment is clean & tidy. Though the single room is not very spacious, it contains all the basic necessity. Thereis a hair dryer (esp useful for the ladies), TV, hot shower and also ironing board at every level. Ice dispenser can be obtained from the first lift level. There's also free internet service which was a huge plus! I think there's a sauna too but it was so cold so I was never able to make use of it. The mroe adventurous should definitely try!

For those that enjoy eating in bed, you will be disappointed to find that there's no room service. :( Oh yeah, no gym or spa facilities for the health freaks. But there are a few beautiful parks ard the hotel that I took several walks in.

Vasa is located Abt 30 mins taxi drive from the airport; 5 mins walk to the tram stop; The hotel is abt 15 mins away from the main shopping street, Kungsportsavenyn. Less than 10 mins away (by foot) to Kungsgatan where they sell craft works, antiques & ornaments. The Gothenborg University is just 5 mins walk away near the tram stop. The harbour area & Nordstan (biggest shopping mall in Gothenburg) are 30 mins walk away. Many things to see along the way. The location of hotel is quite centrally located where it is convenient to travel by foot or tram to other parts of Gothenburg.

I paid about 830 SEK per night for single bed but I will definitely go again and again and again.
