By npadhiarbapa, 7/18/11
This is the best place very convienant to everything. The rate is best than any other hotel in town. Very clean and comfortable roms. I saw motel is getting new carpet ,paint and new beds arrived while our stay. Front desk manager is very kind and polite.Take care customer first .Sometime people have complaint or just reading others and make decision is wrong. Its old but kept up very well. I definately come back.

A dump being sold as a 2* hotel on Hotwire
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/11
This former Days Inn is now branded as America's Best Value Inn. There is no value in staying here. The room had paint peeling of the walls and standing water in the tub upon arrival.

For $58 the room is what it is.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/13/11
The location was perfect for a weekend visit w/ old friends who live in the Pottstown area. The location was easy to find and had ample parking. The staff were nice. The price couldn't be beat. The hotel is what it is. It has low cost hotel rooms. It's not fancy, but the room wasn't smelly. The room was clean and the linens fresh. I didn't eat there because the Pottstown Dinner is the BOMB for breakfast. It's not horrible what so ever..... It's a make do type of hotel and low cost. I didn't have any safety fears, either. It's my hotel destination for quick getaways.

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/10
The price was right but the pictures on the internet were deceiving. The room smelled and it was just unkept. The shower and air conditioning were good but there were holes in the walls, ripped conforter and blanket and did I mention it smelled. Even after running the air, it still had a musty closed in smell.

Stuff happens, bug bites shouldn't.
By jnnfpryor, 11/10/09
After traveling, we were really tired and looking for the motel 6 that we were told was near. We ran into this instead, and checked in after asking to see a room. Didn't look too bad, until I pulled the bedspread down and realized that the sheets were either unwashed, or wrinkled from the wash. We hoped for the best. I am now covered in bites, and just got off the phone with the department of health. they will be investigating this place.

This place is a real dump
By Marcia, 7/26/09
The room was nasty, floors so dirty that our feet got black from walking on it. Mold on ceiling, toilet ran all the time, hot water was warm, very bad smell, bugs that looked like fleas, bed covers had burn holes in them, top sheet looked like it had some sort of fungus on it, curtain was torn, phone did not work. Lost 59.48 plus taxes and fees because we could not stay but one night in the room. Will NEVER return

The Best Place in Pottstown!!!!!
By roshni, 7/30/08
I think it was very pleasant and the management was fair and the rooms were clean. I think that Pottstown is a wonderful town. There are stores very close to the Days Inn, like the new Philadelphia Premium Outlets!!! They even had a suite room with a jacuzzi, it rocked!!!! The Days Inn was very nice unlike the rest of the hotels there were Quality Inn and Best Western more like Worst Western.

Horrible!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/07
This place was a dump!! I would not and could not let my two kids down anywhere. it was horrible. The manager was rude and gave us keys to a room that was already occupied. It was in a scary part of town and the pictures were NOT what we were shown on the internet. We asked for a refund but he would not give us our money back. We refused to let family stay here. Reading what others wrote I am so glad we did not!!!! It was worth the money to stay in the Motel 6 just up the street.

#1 Dirtiest Hotel ever!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/28/07
The only positive thing I can say about this place was that the night clerk was very nice and helpful. This room was absolutely the dirtiest place I've ever seen in my life. The floors were black from the filth and if you walked on the floor bare your feet and what ever else touched the floor was sure to turn black within seconds. This is no lie. My three yr old was on her knees playing with her toys on the floor and within mins her legs hands and feet were black. The sheets on the bed were horrible. They had burn holes in them from peoples cigarettes, stains and who knows when the last time they were changed or even washed. I have allergies and the build up of dust almost caused me to have an asthma attack. And the bathroom was smaller than a walk in closet. Finally the noise from the traffic, fire and police cars, other guest pounding on doors, and disrespectful house-keeping crew made it almost impossible to sleep. For your own health and safety DON'T STAY HERE!!!

Rude Clerk
By BarbaraO, 11/4/06
The management and desk clerks at this hotel are confused. Apparently keeping their towels locked up is more important than meeting guest needs. When we returned after 9:00 pm on October 9, we found our room had not been made up. This is no big deal – it happens. When we called the desk to ask for clean towels, we were told all the towels were locked up and there was no way to get towels for us. The hotel clerk agreed that there was a problem but was unwilling to do anything about it because all the towels were locked up. She was unwilling to figure out a solution – such as getting towels from an unused room perhaps. When I asked her to leave a note for housekeeping to come to our room right away the next morning, she told me I was being rude. So she has agreed there’s a problem, refuses to take any action, and has never thought to say she was sorry for the inconvenience - and then tells me I’m the one being rude. This hotel clerk is the rudest person I’ve come across in awhile. The next morning I asked to speak to the manager but she wasn’t in yet. I told this desk clerk I would like to speak to the manager when she came in. The manager made no effort to contact us. Is this hotel kidding? Surely other people have asked for towels after housekeeping has gone home. We’ve done a bit of traveling and have had to ask for towels before. This has never been a problem. Towels have always been graciously provided at other hotels. As a matter of fact, I have just returned from another trip. Since there were 3 women in the room, we did have occasion to ask for additional wash cloths. They were graciously delivered within a short time. If the Pottstown Best Western feels they must lock up their towels, maybe they should leave a couple of sets at the desk for incompetent hotel clerks. The solutions seem so simple yet the desk clerk and management seem unable to figure them out. We make regular trips to this area and won’t be staying at this hotel again.
