Horrible Valet Service and Needs Updating!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/09
We had a horrible experience with valet parking....it took us 2 hrs to get our vehicle. We had paid for valet and the second night we were there they had ran out of valet parking area and they wanted us to park the car ourselves. Then on checkout day it was so disorganized that they couldnt find our keys. The manager was so not helpful and practically lied to us the whole time that our vehicle was on the way. The hotel was already on their way to make us a new set of keys when they found them hanging in the wrong place. I will NEVER stay their again....I dont care how many discounts or Reward Points they give us. Stayed here for the weekend and the rooms are so old....the only thing nice about this place is the lobby. The restrooms need to be updated asap and there is no fridge. Plus the night we stayed there our room was so hot because the a/c was not working properly.

A great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/09
We loved this hotel. It was clean and the staff was so helpful and friendly. It's in a great location. I would recommend it to anyone. We stayed over spring break '09 w/our two children. Just know it cost $25 a day to park in their garage. This was helpful to know for budgeting. The only downer was our matress should have been change 5yrs ago. It was very lumpy and had sleep indentions. We will stay here again when coming back to San Antonio.

Good but not THAT great
By SamanthaJ, 03/13/09
We stayed the the Rivercenter for one night while in San Antonio. We used my husbands Marriott Rewards points that he had aquired to stay the one night. Overall, this hotel is was in a great location, but could use a little updating in the rooms. We stayed on the 33rd floor overlooking the riverwalk so we had a great view (that was probably the best thing about the hotel). One bad thing is the fact that they charge for internet...who does that anymore?! Also, the parking fee is just too high (something around $27). We ended up parking at a little city lot down the road for just $8. The tolietries in the room were excellent (Bath and Body Works)! Basically, this is a great location, but has room for improvement!

Rip Off
By David, 07/28/08
Booked a room with two double beds through Hotels.com, when we arrived all they had was a room with a queen bed, The Marriott offered some blankets to throw on the floor for our son, thats the most they said they would do.

Not worth the money
By ralph, 07/20/08
To pay 188 dollars for a hotel on the river walk, you'd think you could see the river walk. You get to see about 10 feet of the river total. There are better hotels with views. The Rivercenter is not worth the money for what you want. I totally regret staying there.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/08
we booked this hotel through the seaworld websight. Saw that it had mixed reveiws but the girls wanted to shop so location was paramount. we had 2 joined rooms with a 17y/o, 15y/o and an 11y/o on a roll away. The hotel staff were VERY professional, the roll away was there before we even finished moving the bags into the room. The maid service was excellent and the vallet parking was well worth the extra money. We stayed for two nights (mon-tues)and it only cost 1166.00 with the seaworld park tickets included. I was very impressed and will stay here next time i'm in San Antonio.

Stay somewhere else
By Ben and Amber B, 06/23/08
Was told a roll away bed would be sent right up, but never got one. Bar is supposed to close at 2:00am, however, it closed at 12:30am. They said closing time depends on business, which should be disclosed in their infomation. Most highly rated hotels maintain the posted hours for services. Beds were small and uncomfortable. Three nights at $900.00 and we should have just stayed at a Holiday Inn. Definately not even in the ballpark of a five star hotel.

Was Great for us!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/08
We were there for the Final Four. The room was clean and comfortable. I only wish we had a small frig in the room. Did not enjoy paying the huge amount for drinks (i.e. water) from the vending machine. Breakfast in buffett nice, except, jalepenos in everything?

If you want sleep, try the Hilton!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/07
My husband and I went for his company trip and this is the hotel they chose. First, we were unaware of the cricket season and spent the first night killing seven of these HUGE things. We called for sleep kits...which after the 3rd time were finally brought up to us. We asked for a quiet room and were right beside the elevator...this was the only available room as well. If that was not enough, we had a domestic disturbance on our floor. We called the front desk and explained that security needed to come up. The poor bell boy was sent up...they assessed the situation and then the police were called. For our inconvience, the next day we asked to be relocated to a different room. Which we were. And everything was going great...until another cricket starting "singing" to us...and another and another....you get the picture. Since everyone was dealing with this problem we dealt with it too. However, at 2am we had the displeasure of listening to our next door neighbors... lets just say they were not in a fight but were very loud. Nope, not gonna stay there again. It was out of control and the front desk and staff was less than apologetic and certainly not friendly or understanding.
