Baymont Inn & Suites Macon-Riverside Drive, Macon

RIVERSIDE DRIVE- TERRIBLE CONDITION visited location 05/02/2008-05/04/2008 -never again, the manager was unavailable to hear and address our problems- all girls basketball team- arrived in rooms, that smelled terrible, showers did not work, air condition tore up which cause the whole floor to be soak and wet, pillow was soiled, towels were soiled and dingy, tubs had dirt rings, so bad we had to go to kmart and clean them ourselves, and buy pillow cases, bathroom in lobby did not have any toilet tissue and we were told to use the kleenex tissue, front desk clerks were very pleasant despite the complaints, kept saying they were renovating, they need to close this hotel down until they pass inspections especilly for some of those soil and stained towels/hand cloth, and bath towels look like they were pulled from the garbage can.

This is no longer a Hampton Inn. It is now the Macon Hotel. From the outside I must say it does look quite nice. Once inside the room is another story. The motel is old and very out of date. The room was dirty...nothing had been dusted or cleaned behind in a very long time. I felt dirty just being in the rooom. The handle in the tub was broken off and I slit my finger tryin to turn on the shower. Even the soap they give you to use smelled bad. The room had no telephone, no clock. We asked for a phone and the one they gave us to use didn't work. I would try to find another motel and not stay at this one.

I stay for business several times a month and year. I have tried many different Hotels in Macon and I must say, this is the bright spot when I must travel. The rooms are clean and light in color. The bed is comfy and the pillows are nice. The staff is always pleasant and I feel safe. A real deal too! I will make this my home away from home from now on.

Me and my daughter stayed here in May. It was and excellent place to stay. Staff was very helpful. The rooms were nice and just renovated. The continental breakfast was wonderful, and the location was very convienient. The pool area was also great. The only bad things were the hair all over the blow dryer,and one of the lights not working. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
