Motel 6, Rapid City

When we got there, there was no towels in the room. We can live with that... The following night, when we cam back from our day trip, we got to the room, and the beds had not been made, the room had not been cleaned up, and towels were still in the bath tub... However, this motel is well located and not too expensive... But you get what you pay for.... We don't know if we would go back again; we would probably browse before making a decision.

Place was clean, easy to find, and conveniently located near a few restaurants and a super Wal-Mart for groceries. One side faces the highway so its a bit noisy, but honestly it wasn't a problem. The staff are helpful, and I heard them refunding someone's money for an alleged problem with a door, so they even appear generous. The only problem is the internet access. They say they have WiFi, but it's only available in a few of the rooms, and even in those it's not available all the time (i.e. it seemed to be turned off in the morning). It also costs an additional $3 per computer using the service, which put the total room cost up with other motels in the vicinity that offered free internet- Microtel is next door, AmericInn is nearby and there are a few more (look for addresses on Lacrosse in Rapid City). If you don't need internet, I recommend this place. If you do, you may want to consider other options.
