Above expectations
It's difficult to find a beach/island accomodation that doesn't have the neutral carpet w/the obligatory rataan furniture with stuffy tropical cushions, however, Boyette West was a pleasant surprise. The interior design was well thought out and notable since most rental units usually have none. The theme was cool and slightly oriental(which is not my favorite)but it was all done so well it hard not to notice. The kitchen was very clean and well stocked. The bed did "Scuff" on the floor ocassionally, but it was obvious that it was hand made, and while visually appealing, perhaps the woodworker was not familiar with the physics of holiday loading(enough said). It is definitely not for small chilren as the stairs were steep(loft style). But for 2 adults, a semi-sophiscticated retreat on an otherwise "savage" island was the perfect getaway.
