Brookwood Inn, Statesville

We have stayed here several years in a row on our trip between Michigan and Florida. We have also used this hotel when we visited NC in the summer. It used to be a Fairfield Inn. I have always gotten a clean, comfortable room at a good price; the wifi is free and has a strong signal. The only thing that changed when they changed from Fairfield was the price got better. They do a great job getting you checked in. The rooms are kept up well. During the summer there is a clean, well maintained pool. Breakfast is provided and if we want, there is a Shoney’s right across the street and other dining in the immediate area. I have read the negative comments and all I can say is that we have always had a good experience at the Brookwood Inn. I travel a lot and it is one of the best deals I have seen in hotels. I put is head and shoulders above the guys that leave the light on.

It is dirty, the mattress was less than 3 inches thick and it was not a place for my wife and family. The rooms should (if they are not now) be rented by the hour.

At this price including breakfast no one can't beat the deal. Idealy located on highway, excellent staff, clean beds, free breakfast..coffee in room and lobby..

Great location, room was clean and neat, service was wonderful.
