Bear Spring Camps, Rome

Bear Springs is by far the best vacation spot in the entire world. This August (2010) will be my family's 27th year going. My entire life revolves around my vacation at BSC, and i would not give it up for anything! Our world today is run by all these fancy gadgets TV's and computers and BSC just allows you to relax and get away from all of that!!!! There is so much to do between fishing, swimming, going for a boat ride, playing volleyball, spending time with family, and just relaxing and enjoying the scenery, that you wont need to even think about TV or computers. The camp serves 3 meals each day and provides maid service every day. For the fishermen, They will even cook and serve you your catch! Bear springs is the ideal spot for large families to come together have a few beers and enjoy each other's company! Although this is not included you can rent 8-14 passenger pontoon boats from the local marina and keep it docked at your cabin for the week. this is an additional charge separate from your stay at BSC but it's well worth it! Bear springs also provides free Wifi for your laptop at the main house, so even if you do want to just check e-mails while you are up there waiting for your meal you can. The best part is the price! The amenities offered at BSC are friendly on your checkbook and well worth it!

I love BSC! I have been going all my life and it is kid friendly. You make friends with the other people there and you can do so much. Sports, fishing, swimming, and so much more. You can take a boat out and go tubing or water skiing. It is worth every penny and the wait staff is very great. Peggy (the person who runs the place along with Spencer) is very nice. I can't wait for Maine every year we go. I am going very soon.

I've been going to BSC for 12 years now. Initially my family of 4 and that of my sisters would go once a year together. It has grown to include other family members and our friends. I now go twice a year and can't wait for life to afford me the opportunity to go more. BSC has a way of infiltrating your life to where you would no longer be complete without it. Obvious are the activities and beautiful scenery, but it is the way BSC changes your outlook and takes you to a simpler time that really wraps itself around you. It's value is unmatched!

I've been coming to Bear Spring Camps for 10 years now with the guys from work for our annual fishing trip and everyone loves it. Fishing has been great for Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike. The accommodations are great, each cabin is right on the water with its own dock. Three meals a day served to you. No need to bring food, cook food, cleanup after, etc. Just bring your fishing gear and you are all set. Bring your own boat if you want, or rent one from them. I look forward to this trip all year long. The price is very reasonable for the cabins/meals and rental boats.

At Bear Springs you are served all of your meals 3 times a day! Every day there is a maid who comes in & sweeps the floors & makes the beds. The maintenance people will make sure your boat is in top shape all of the time. The rates are very friendly on your wallet. The waitresses & waiters are among the nicest people you'll ever meet. You will enjoy a relaxing vacation right on the lake. My family has been going for 25 years & we still enjoy it more & more each year. Its an addicting vacation... Once you start going it's nearly impossible to give it up!

We have been making this yearly journey for over 25 years now. We take currently take 4 generations, as do many families. We see the same people each year and look forward to it. We just got back and it was just as beautiful as ever...and can't complain about the food......nothing like the view from the cabin. Book early...it may take several years to get in..

Bear Springs Camp is the total escape. Cabins are rustic, each has a fridge, heat, and it's own dock on the lake. 3 meals a day are served at the main house. It's the perfect spot for family or friends that want to spend time together. The price is very affordable. A great deal. However, Bear Springs is not for those that require a 4 star hotel with room service. We'll soon depart for our annual Bear Springs vacation. It seems the entire year revolves around this vacation and it's finally here!

ive been going there for a while now and i wouldnt change it for the world! its the closest to heaven any man from the south can get. well worth the drive from tennessee!

Bear Spring Camps is the vacation spot I've enjoyed for the last 36 years & hope to enjoy for 36 more. A multi-generational family run camp, the owners still know how to bend over backwards to make their guests feel at home. 'Service with a smile' still reigns supreme here.
