Customer service/management needs improvement!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/11
When I checked into the hotel I had to wait 3 hours after check-in time before it was cleaned. I was given a one queen bed even though I booked a double and was given no rollaway bed which I had requested when I booked the room 2 months in advance. I waited 3 days before I was even able to speak to the manager, who was very unhelpful. I still had to pay the full price for the room even though both of my kids had to sleep on the floor!! There are no other rooms available in Williston due to the oil boom, the ONLY reason why this place is even still in business.

AWESOME!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/29/10
Im not sure what to say about all these other reviews lol. I had a great stay here awesome staff, super accomadations (for being standard) and the gentleman Allen was amazing, he helped me and my family as much as could be expected. The only thing was that it is a bit noisy in the am with all the oil field workers (so im told) staying here and around williston in general. The breakfast was average but i loved the make your own waffle thing....my kids got a kick out of it. So to all of you nay-sayers get some help! I loved this place and will be coming back next time im in williston!

Confirmation #s don't matter
By Sarah Jo, 5/25/10
I didn't read any reviews on this place before "reserving" a room through the motel's website. At the end of the reservation the site provided a confirmation # and sheet to print out which I did. Then I read the reviews and got worried, really worried. All of the other motels are booked up and we are traveling from 400 miles away. I need to know that when I get there the room I reserved will be there. Rather than stress about it I decided to cancel my reservation at Missouri Flats Inn and book a room in Minot, ND instead. Get this when I called the motel to cancel my reservation the guy said he couldn't look my reservation up by my confirmation #...what the heck, then why give one?! So he looked it up by name...for which he could find NO RESERVATION!!! Thank God, I went with my gut instinct. I would have been beyond livid if I would have driven 7 hours only to be told that they had no reservation for me! Now I just have to wait to see if they charge my credit card anyway, which I would not be one bit surprised if they did.

Very poor management
By Matt, 2/2/10
Made reservations several months in advance. Specifically asked for a 2 double beds and was quoted a price. Upon check in, I was immediately told that although they knew I asked for a double room, that "somehow" it had been changed and now I had a single Queen room. I needed more than one bed so front desk clerk "graciously" offered to give a rollaway bed in the room..no charge. However, the room rate would be the same as the double, no discount for their mistake! Everything in town was booked up so I had no choice. I maybe shouldn't complain since the young couple that came in after me had their reservations completely lost and they were left without any room. I asked to speak to manager upon check in (Fri night) and check out (Sat morning). Was told that no "manager" would be in until Monday morning. Left my name and number, never heard back. I am not wasting any more time on them and instead am directing my efforts towards saving others from the same hassle. Hotel is not filthy, but it is dated and very ordinary. Rooms are rather small (especially the single queen bed rooms). Air condition/heating units are old and either leave a room too hot or too cold. Appears to be under some sort of remodel that never got off the ground. It's almost like some husband has a "honey do" list of handyman projects around the hotel but most of the tasks are nowhere near completion. Location is as good as anywhere in Williston, once you get past the fact that you are in nowhere Williston ND. Bottom line, staying here is one step above bringing your own blanket and sleeping under the stars. There are definitely better options in the Williston area. I learned my lesson not to stay here again.

Manager who said they owned the hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/10/10
We to were visitors to the hotel when the who ever she was accused /lectured a group of hockey players who had only just arrived at "her" hotel. Nothing was broken, Another group had pizza in one of the common areas and left the pizza boxes neatly near a trash can. What a CRIME? The broken glass in the hot tub appeared to be from a bar glass and had probably been there from the guests who had to much happy hour not the hockey players. Sorry I don't think the hockey players had been at the bar. We were not with the hockey players but were lectured and accused as well. My children were never left unattended and certainly resent the accusatory language. We had just gotten back to hotel from eating and were in the lobby using the internet. Perhaps she drank the hand sanitizer or had alchohol flavored gum.

Experience I wish I could forget!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/09
If there was a rating below one, that is what I would give it! Prices went up since we had booked the room..$15 higher than when we booked it. I was by the staff that they could not change the rate for me even though when I booked the room I was quoted a different rate. If I would have known that there would be that much of a price increase I would have never stayed there. The rooms were standard, nothing special. They did have Continental Breakfast, but it wasnt anything to brag about. cold cereal, coffee, and toast. Wouldnt stay here again.

Friendly Staff, Great Improvements
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/19/09
My experience with Missouri Flats Inn was great. When I booked the room over the phone, the lady was very helpful and found me just the right room. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by all of the recent remodeling. They have put forth quite an effort to make the place look great. The new breakfast area is beautiful and they offer a nice selection for a continental breakfast, waffles were great. The pool was not operating, but they did have dvd players and movies for rent at the front desk. I would visit this place again. Very clean.

Customer Service is awful.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/2/09
Showing up for the dart tournament turned out to be quite a hassle for an unprepared and crabby staff. Lobby was a mess and clogged with people while I watied for 2 hours for my room after being told fifteen minutes. Room wasn't anything special and not worth the price I paid. I think I might have felt better if the staff acted like they cared just a bit.

Changes indeed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/12/09
I must admit I hadn't stayed at this hotel before but from what the negative reviews below are saying, this place is a very different hotel from what it was before. Friendly staff, clean room, quiet and peaceful stay. I needed a room pretty much last minute and they got me in when nobody else in town could. My experience was very positve. It's nice to know I have a place to rest my head in Williston.
