Knolls Motel, Wildwood

checked in at three oclock and the owner/ only employe was a d bag. he charged me a 100 dollar security because my friends and i were not "of age" for his hotel. we also had friends not staying with us but stopped by for a visit. he told me they were not allowed on the property of the deposit would be lost. he told us to hang out in the streets! rooms were clean but small only spent five hours in the room sleeping. location to beach and boarwalk was great. pool sucked hours were odd 10 to 7?? why is a pool clsed a 7 oclock at night. oveall stay somewhere else owner is a rude douche.

The only good thing about this motel was the close location to the boardwalk and the helpful foreign staff. The man at the front desk acted put out by any request, including those you think would be already in place such as 2 pillows per person. We stayed here years ago. This was our first time in a long time, but we WILL look for a different hotel when returning to the Jersey shore in the future. The hotel hasn't been properly upkept and updated and the price we paid was outragous for what we got.

We stayed at the Knoll's Motel (not a resort) in mid-July 2008 and found the room to be pretty clean, although there were some strange issues. First, they don't make the beds or change the sheets unless they are visibly dirty. We stayed in a room with two beds, and one of them was always made, while the other wasn't..? There were no washclothes, we had to ask for them, and only a couple of towels for four guests. There was only one extra pillow available, and the front desk does not keep convenient hours. They charge you $20 cash for the room keys, which you get back when you return them. However, when we wanted to check out at 8:30 a.m., the office wasn't open and the clerk said our money wouldn't be returned. The railings and stairways in the three-story motel (no elevators) were all from the 1950s, and didn't appear to ever be upgraded for safety. The railings were about three feet tall, and the metal steps were dangerously steep and poorly constructed. If you accidentally bumped into the rail, you would probably crack open your head on the concrete below. I have no clue how this place is able to secure insurance. It's like a death trap. The pool was clean, but unheated and cold, even in July. It was very small, but so are all of the others in Wildwood. It's only about a block to the beach - a very easy walk, and the 24-hour Rite Aid next door was convenient. The ice machine was broken.

June 2008 Was going to stay for 3 nights but could only stand 1. Very dirty!!! Carpet had stains, shower had hair all over it like it had never been cleaned, Toilet as well!!! Faucet on sink had toothpaste splatter all over it! The towels, sheets and pillow cases had stains and hair all over them, and the room had a funky mildew smell. Funny how they boast that they were remodled in 2007! If they did it was the bare minimum! Over all comfort and size: The beds were very small full size beds, not Queens as advertised! THEY WERE HARD AS A ROCK!!!!!!! You could only lay in one postion until you felt like you were on concrete! There was only 2 of us, I could not imagine a family of 4 in this room it was very small! And it was the larger of the 2 rooms we were shown. The rooms are not large like they claim on the website! There are 3 floors but no elevator and very steep steps!! The top step was very uneven and could have easily tripped up any child or adult that was not paying attention. Pool was very small, the pictures on the website make it look bigger!There was only enough room for about 6 lounges and if there is a big family there forget about using the pool! Talk about big families!!! There was a family reunion there and they were so loud and obnoxious day and night! The manager did nothing about it. They took over the hotel like it was theirs and again the manager did nothing about it! Management is not on staff at night, they close up the office at 10pm. The night I was there at 3:30am some drunks had come back to their hotel rooms and proceded to have a screaming argument outside of our door! They were very very loud and there wasn't management on duty to do anything about this!!! The next day I complained and learned that the manager does live within the building! I cant believe that he did not hear it and also why dont they make that known to their customers? Anyone could have an emergency and need the manager and they dont want their customers to know! Very unprofessional!!! So we left and lost the money that we spent, that was how unhappy we were!! When I asked the manager about getting any money back he refused! There was a total disregard for the customer and my satisfaction! Stay away from this hotel!!! Walk a block in either direction and you can get a hotel that isnt cracking, unlevel and falling apart! You can spend your hard earned money elsewhere and get alot more!!!

my husband my son and myself were there for 3 nights and 4 days at the end of august of 2007,well i have to say after the first night we were there i pulled my knee out... so i was at motel most of our vacation. the service was great they sent me extra pillows for my leg and it was very quiet both day and night.people that stayed there also were very nice,the pool was clean and the workers were very friendly and ALWAYS cleaning and taking care of bussiness the man in the office took care of us also. very nice hotel would stay there again,,,dont listen to the negative reviews from 2005 they are under new management and its working..lol
