Very Nice, But Things to Think About
We came to the area for a soccer tournament this weekend (May 07). We stay in 6-8 hotels per year and have become pretty particular about them. Overall, this hotel was a great experience. The most imporant thing in a hotel - to me - is cleanliness. I found this hotel to be very clean and the decor was updated and comfortable. The bedding was exceptionally comfy. We had a king/couch bed room and found it to be very spacious. The bathroom was average sized but nice. Water pressure was very good with a fun shower head that had a variety of stream settings. The staff was nice in all of our dealings with them. The pool was also very nice and clean (outdoor). We didn't try the restaurant. Now the negatives: It was a little difficult/tricky to get into the hotel - you must either make a u-turn at the light and turn into an office park, or turn left at the light, go to the next left turn and turn between parking decks. Not too big of a deal. The room didn't have a microwave or refrigerator - just a coffee pot (which was in the bathroom taking up precious counter space). I've come to expect a microwave. You can pay a fee for the frige if you want one. The one other issue - which is a big one for me - is noise. The walls seemed relatively quiet - but the neighbor's shower was louder in our room than our own shower and the door did not stop noise at all. AND - the worst part - they have a ground level conference center and on Fri/Sat nights there are live bands which reverberate LOUDLY up into the rooms until 11:30 or so. If they are having a wedding/prom, etc... who knows how long the partiers will be making noise. So be prepared for that. We did drown out the music somewhat with the air conditioner fan. We were on the second floor. A higher floor would be better. Overall - one of the better experiences in hotels. Very comfy and clean and quiet most of the time. We would likely return here if in the area again.
