very nice , clean and quite motel in the area with good amenities

staff have always been gracious...even when problems arose. I had a particular night that i stayed over and i knew immediately the sheets had not been changed. they gave me knew ones and a discount when i questioned them., they deny that this happens, also, i noticed the Bathroom smelled like urine, later the maid had reported that someone had used the trash can..(I was accused when complaining) I informed the owner that I had complained of this the night before.. i did stay again and my stay was wonederful! although I insisted on seeing sheets from the laundry and I made my own bed. I can bet this happens in even the big expensive fancy hotels on occasion, ive stayed in some that were not as clean as this one......

Decided to spend the night in Parkersburg, and seen the econolodge. The hotel looked very inviting, the front desk area decorated very nively, and the clerk was respectfel and friendly. Asked for a room with a whirlpool bath , he gave me the key and wanted me to look at it first before i decided. The room was clean and nice, and had a great night there. I would recomend staying there anytime you are in Parkersburg, for the rooms are nice and the staff friendly and very accomondating. Plan on staying there again.

The manager is very hospitable and friendly. This was evident when I called to make my reservation. Upon my arrival, I was greated by a friendly desk clerk and the manager. He knew immediately who I was. During check-in, we talked about many things. He said my room would be ready in a few minutes, as they were hanging new draperies. I told him that he did not have to redecorate just because I was coming. He laughed and said that I had new carpet, too. My air conditioner was running and the room cool. The new window treatments and carpet were most welcome. Everything was spotless. Such service and amenities are rare when travelling on business and staying at lower budget properties. The location is convenient to downtown Parkersburg. The excellent food and service at the Pub next door makes for an excellent stay. The Econolodge grounds were tidy, shrubs freshly pruned, flowers in bloom. The outdoor pool sparkled. I set up my computer and quickly connected to the wireless service. The large TV and refrigerator were most welcome. I was offered a microwave if needed. This friendly Econolodge offers clean rooms and great value for business and leisure travelers. Large suites are available for families. And, they accept pets. If planning to visit the Parkersburg/Marietta area and looking for budget friendly rooms, this the place to stay. There are many things to see and do in the Mid Ohio Valley. Ohio River boat towns are full of history. Blennerhasset Island lies just off the shores of Parkersburg. And, this EconoLodge is conveniently located to all the sites and scenery in the area.
