Great deal
By BilA, 11/5/09
The price is right, especially with their dinner package. It's across the street from a beautiful beach. The staff is more than friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast works very well. With a car, it's close to everything. It's been around for a while but they are upgrading. My wife and I can't wait to return

Cheap for a reason
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/09
This hotel was terrible. Aside from the location the place is the lowest priced hotel in SB for a reason. The staff was rude and unhelpful, the room was dirty and the place was run down. With many other places to choose from in the santa barbara area you'd be wise to choose another motel/hotel.

heaven
By blueberry, 10/8/08
WE loved everything! We had an extended stay Christmas 2006 to visit with family in SB. Victor gave us an amazing deal--we had never been to the hotel before and were VERY nervous--but incredibly surprised. Amazing ocean view, wonderful breakfast, room was huge and very clean. The very best part was the Staff--so kind, helpful, and friendly--the staff totally spoiled us and we enjoyed very minute of it--pure joy. We wanted to move-in permanently--it was so great we are thinking of doing it again this holiday season.

Great spot!
By Marna, 5/22/08
We loved the location and our room was fabulous. Clean, updated decor, roomy and safe within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. What more could you ask for?

Family Reunion
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/10/08
Last December, our extended family f 12 stayed at the Cabrillo Inn for a one-week reunion. This was our second reunion at the Cabrillo Inn and we had a terrific time. The location is spectacular, the staff most friendly, efficient and accommodating, and the amenities most enjoyable. They are renovating the rooms over time and the "new" rooms are even better than before. Add Santa Barbara with its beaches and sunshine and you get a GREAT vacation!

Our Favorite Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/5/08
Our family has been going to Cabrillo Inn for over twenty years. It is our favorite place for family get-togethers because we always are treated like special guests. We feel like Victor, John, Lupe and Julian are part of our family. We love the convenience of being across the street from the beach, being within walking distance of the pier, the zoo, the bike/walk path, and the trolley. We love the helpful staff, the breakfasts and the fantastic view of the ocean. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and try to go at least three times a year. We have told many friends about it, and now many of them go there to stay on a regular basis, too. Our rooms are always clean. The beds are very comfortable and we think the patios are great for lounging, sunning and visiting. It is a great place!

always more than happy with Cabrillo Inn
By Janet and Family, 1/17/08
My Family and I are always more than happy with our stays at the Cabrillo Inn. We have vacationed at the Inn once or twice a year for the past 6 years, with our most recent stay being October of 2007. Our room was super clean with fresh, new, linens and towels of fine quality. If we needed anything in the way of extra towels or blankets, the office was always accommodating. Victor is always cordial and helpful, loaning us vases or whatever else we might need. We find the Inn to be a wonderful, well-cared for property. The heated pool is warm and clean. The Continental breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. is a step above and served by delightful personnel in a cheery breakfast room by the pool complete with newspapers, and all magazines and brochures one might need for Santa Barbara. For longer stays, be sure and inquire about the 'Free Night in Paradise" program which can save 33%. We find the Cabrillo Inn to be a friendly, pleasant property, and always look forward to our return.

Spent a wonderful week here!
By Debbie, 12/5/07
My husband & I stayed in the King Suite in May 2006 and loved the room, the employees and especially the view. The entire place was booked and the people we spoke with were enjoying their stay. The location can't be any better, I agree, it is an older hotel but is in-between newer ones and sees the same view as the more expensive places. Every morning we enjoyed a fantastic choice of pastrys, juice and coffee. I had to actually pull myself away or I would have tried everything. Anytime we had questions for the staff in the office they were very happy to help us and were very warm and friendly. Cabrillo Inn at the Beach was recommended to us by a close friend who returns every year on their anniversary because they love the quaintness. I know for a fact that the hotel has someone on call duty everynight after 11PM. Most small motels do not have an office open 24 hours a day. If you require more, then you need to pay more and let those of us that enjoy a wonderful place be at peace. You have to take into consideration that Santa Barbara is a very expensive place and most other motels along the same street are at least twice as much money usually.

Deserves less than 1 star rating!
By Al Be, 10/30/07
Low class people run this disgustingly, mold-infested motel. There is zero customer service and a 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. desk clerk. No one existed to deal with the after hours riffraff in the swimming pool at midnight yelling and throwing beer bottles. The mattress was collapsing and the sheets smelled of mold. Housekeeping did not answer when we asked for clean sheets the night of check in when we turned the bed down. There was someone else's hair on the "clean" sheets. Moldy, stale bagels were put out for breakfast with coffee that would be undrinkable at an AM-PM Mini Mart. A resounding boom to the low-class denizens of this dreadful Cabrillo In At The Beach. Oh! Watch your valuables, as if you are on the bottom floor, lookie loos are able to walk right up to your room window and look in at you and your things if your blinds are not closed. We stayed here for a relative's wedding down the street and were scratching our bedbug bites at the wedding! DISGUSTING! Do not stay here if you value your health.

Friends for Life
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/3/07
My friend an I retreat here one time a year to catch up on our friendship away from the house, job and kid duties. The pool really is heated. Most rooms have a view of the ocean and there are miles of beach to contemplate. The nice thing is you've got the place to yourself (and a whole bunch of nice travler's like yourself). Enjoy Santa Barbara or just enjoy.....
