Keefers Inn, King City

I don't travel much but needed a place to stay close to our destination at Soledad. There were four adults in adjoining rooms. We didn't require much as we arrived late evening and left early in the morning. Seema and Deep were very helpful and met our needs with pleasure. Some of our needs were above what would be normally requested and they were very helpfull. I would deffinately stay there again. I would also recommend it to anyone having a need to stay there. You might want to make sure you have any late night needs in room by 9 P.M. Though there are many restaurants, stores, gas stations and grocery stores close, late night trips could be problematic. In room coffee is very convenient. Rooms were well kept, roomy, and beds very comfortable (seemed new). Very nice travel inn. Thank you Seema and Deep.

See my review on the Courtesy Inn in King City, which has the same owners: I called ahead to get a rate to stay at their hotel for an extended stay for a business trip. The owner's wife quoted a rate of $55 a night including two dogs and taxes. While calling around, I also called the Keefer Inn and reached the husband, who remarked that his wife had already quoted us at the Courtesy Inn for $55 a night with our two (very small) dogs--and he did not seem very happy about it! When we showed up to checkin, she denied that she had quoted us the price and wanted $79 per night plus taxes. Do not trust this place as they do not keep their word in oral contracts--and there was no misunderstanding whatsoever!

I felt staying at Keefer's Inn that it was a home away from home. Deepak and Seema, owners of the hotel, were extremely helpful and friendly and had very charming personalities. It was a quiet place to relax and get away from the hectic lifestyle of work. I would highly reccommend this hotel for anyone who wants a clean and comfortable place to stay. East or West Keefer Inn is the best!

We have stayed at this hotel several times and always had a good experience. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. They include microwaves and refrigerators, nice extra touches. The pool area is very nice; clean and well-maintained. Service is always friendly. We'll certainly stay again on our next trip through King City.

This motel is very plain vanilla, run of the mill, garden variety. The A/C in my room did not work, fortunately it was not too warm outside. The nearby restaurant, Margie's, is a bit pricey and the Filly Sandwich I had was perhaps the worst I've ever eaten. King City, CA is pretty much Nowheresville and the Keefer Motel fits right in!
