Days Inn West Yellowstone, West Yellowstone

The staff was AWFUL! The lady who helped us, was very rude, she spoke down to me and had an attitude. She even yelled at the cleaning staff, outside of our room from the top of he lungs, for using to much laundry detergent. They charged $50 extra on my debit card and said it would be credited back in 5-7 business days. We used the safe in the bedroom, they charged $25 for use of the key and much to out dismay, she pulls out a box of keys, doesn't ask our room number and hands us a key. The safes all have the same key. The only thing that i can say nice about this place, was the location. It is 3 blocks away from the west gate of Yellowstone. They over charge you for everything, treat you poorly and the rooms were clean, but so tiny. You could barely move around in the bathroom. I will never go back their again. Good luck to anyone who does.

We have stayed before and thoroughly enjoyed it. We again stayed (we had 4 rooms). The front desk staff was not the friendliest upon check-in. But I have to stay the worst experience was the free breakfast. To go to a restaurant, less than 1/2 of the tables full, and the host writes our name down (she was confused; there were TWO of us waiting) was ridiculous. It took her 15 minutes to seat us. From there service was fast and the food was good. This happened both mornings we were there. They even had the front desk clerks clearing tables - HIRE ADEQUATE STAFF! This was one of the busiest weekends in winter, so they certainly should have known. And I agree with the gentlemen's comment above; I am only 36, but also believe in customer service. Based on the comments on the rest of this page, I am assuming nothing has been done to correct attitudes based on our stay recently. We will stay again, as the rate was good and the kids loved the slide. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAYBE THEY LOOK FOR MORE FRIENDLY AND QUALIFIED STAFF.

Stayed for 5 nights,had 3 rooms for 14 people.Front desk staff, with the exception of one young man, were rude, unaccomadating and just did not care what you wanted. Made reservations months in advance and requested to have all 3 rooms close together with fridge and micro. All rooms spread out and my room had no fridge/micro and when I asked if we could change rooms they flatly said "NO". They did not even try to be nice about it. Stay at Best Western instead.

The staff was rude when my wife and I checked in. The was over the swimming pool and the floor and beds vibrated almost to the point of a vibrating bed. When we asked to be moved the staff once again was very rude and brushed us off. Around 2am in the morning and after complaining 3 times they agrreed to move us into a different room the next day. At 5am in morning they were working on the fire system and activated the building fire alarm 3 times. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a nice clean room and the beds were comfy. Our stay was quiet and we had a bus full of kids on our floor. Our rate was very good for the area. I noticed 4 lg tour buses in the lot as we checked in. I would go back again; however the desk staff was not attentive or helpful in the evening.

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend for a trip to Yellowstone Park. Very expensive for a very plain room, but that's how it is over there. Room was clean, but bathroom was small with only 1 light -like showering in a cave. Pool is very loud with the waterslide in it. The kids had fun, and we didn't have a bad experience, but you don't stay at this place for the experience-you stay there for convenience and location to the park.

Me and my family had a wonderful time staying at this hotel, all the staff was very knowledgable and extremely nice. The kids loved the slide as well as the adults!! I don't think I stayed at the same hotel as the rest of these people!! Even though we were there at a very busy time we all had a GREAT TIME!!

This place has no management. I complained and they said they could move me to a $169.00 room. No way. We checked out after one night and found a nicer, cheaper room. I received a letter from manager when I got home that said I never complained. Well I hope all you travelers, heed my warning, stay away. Another older female guest in the lobby was actually crying because they put her in a room that was really bad, smelled. The only thing I can say good about this place was that it had running water. Stay AWAY

After reading the other reviews of this hotel I was a little hesitant to stay here, but we did anyway. Thank goodness!!! My family has never stayed somewhere and felt so comfortable. We were able to check in and out without a hitch. Our room (and the rest of the hotel) was very clean and updated. The pool was fun, especially the waterslide. Although I would recommend that you don't wear regular shorts on the waterslide...embarrassing...don't ask. All in all we were sad to leave. We can't wait to come back next year! And because we had such a great experience we will try to only stay at Days Inn when we travel.

The hotel we usually stay at was already closed for the season, so my grandfather and I stayed at the Days Inn. We did not have reservations, and the desk staff were annoyed that we were there, almost like we were bothering them. The lady manager (i guess)stopped checking us in to have a conversation with a family member Iam assuming. Maybe Iam too old and still believe in customer service and when a business was GLAD to see customers walk thru the door.
