Bavarian Lodge, Leavenworth

If you prefer privacy, quiet, and a great view all within walking distance of town, this is the place. We have stayed in several hotels in Leavenworth, and keep going back to the River's Edge.

We had a wonderful time there! It was so nice to have the river right outside our room. We saw lots of birds and even an otter right outside our room! Jimmy was an awesome, friendly host. The staff was more than helpful and very friendly! A wonderful value for the money! I recommended it to my daughter and she ended up staying there a couple nights the week after we did! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My cousin and I had unexpected family issues in the area, and were able to find accomodations at the River's Edge Lodge. I was disappointed to see the poor review that was posted on the web site. I would say: If you want high tech, luxury and pampering go to the Hilton. If you want a rustic and relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, very clean and comfortable rooms, with a remarkably beautiful outdoor setting, all at an affordable price try the River's Edge Lodge. Jimmy and the lodge cat, "Mickey the Mouser", were good hosts. Jimmy and another guest even helped me with a car problem. Minutes from downtown Leavenworth we were able to shop, come back to our motel, cook our brats on the barbie, and enjoy our wine and cheese while we relaxed by the river's edge. I stayed at the River's Edge for two of the best nights I have had in ages! Jimmy was more than helpful and accomodating, the room was clean & very cozy and comfortable and the walk way was always swept and neat - not to mention having a BBQ at your disposal, a wonderful swing outside your room and best of all just feet away the soothing running water of the river. We will ALWAYS return and ALWAYS recommend the River's Edg to friends & family - Can't wait to go back!!! Thanks Jimmy see you again soon - Sue Christensen & Rita Niles

How this Motel got 5 stars is anyones guess. Old building, no internet service,half the time the rooms phone didn't work, could not lock window, rust in bathroom sink,pool was not heated, spa was dirty. The only friendly staff was "house keepeeping."
