Econo Lodge Cortez, Cortez

We stayed in this Travel Lodge one night (7-15-2010). The swimming pool was nice and wasn’t too cold. The pool was a welcome relief after being on the road all day. As for the room, the carpet was extremely dirty and I don’t know what type of bugs they might have, but my girlfriend got bit numerous times while we slept. The walls are too thin and you could hear the people in the next room talking all night and when people came down the stairs, it sounded as if elephants were heading down the stairs. We have recently stayed in La Vegas, NM and in Las Vegas, NV and the prices were cheaper and I don’t ever plan on staying at this motel ever again. We paid $89 (a military discount) and I honestly do not think the room was worth what we paid. There are places cleaner and cheaper; besides that, many (in Las Vegas, NV or other areas) have valet services.

I loved the motel. It was well maintained, even though it was an older motel. Very clean! The staff was friendly!
