The only thing good about the Mayflower was the location. We had a jacuzzi room which was a very far walk from the main office. The drain in the jacuzzi didn't open so it slowly drained all night long. The drain in the bedroom sink was almost totally clogged. The toilet looked like it was about to overflow with every flush. The whole place was "icky". We checked out the indoor pool and game room and decided against them both - very creepy and dirty looking. There was no breakfast included, clean towels had to be asked for, no complimentary pad of paper and the pen in the room was from another motel! All in all - yuck!!!
This place was wonderful! As a first timer to the dells I chose this place for myself and my girlfriends for our "Girls Trip" and we couldn't have been happier. We stayed Wed.-Sat. the rates and crowds were smaller. We chose the Jacuzzi loft suite which was pretty far from the main buildings but all in all it was a great room in a great location for a great price. I would definitely stay here again. :)
Mayflower has become our regular family hotel when we visit the Dells. Our three chidren love the pools - the kiddie pool is great for our preschoolers - and we are so thankful for indoor pools too! We never have to worry about the weather. It is also very convenient to have the playground, and the fridge in the room. We have always been very comfortable there, it is convenient to all the attractions, and the price is great!
When my husband and I stopped in at the Mayflower Hotel we were treated like pond scum. This made us very angry considering we are upper middle class people. We usualy spend a great deal of money in the Dells and there is NO excuse for why we were treated so badly. The lady working the front desk was very rude. This happend on January 1, 2005. We were so angry about the way we were treated we walked out without renting a room. We will never consider this hotel again. We will be telling EVERYONE we know about this and I'm pretty sure the Mayflower Hotel will lose costumers over this, as we know alot of people who travel to the Dells area. There was NO reason or excuse to treat ANYONE in this manner.
my son and i stayed there two years ago and had a nice balcony room over looking the pool. the rooom was clean and quiet. the only thing that should have been fixed was the screen in the window was pushed out, so we couldn't leave the window open. also, i think they should consider putting in an elevator for people who get the second floor rooms. it was hard for me to walk up the stairs as i have arthritic knees. otherwise, i would go back again.
