roaches
By lbear, 09/19/08
Would never stay here again. Was willing to tolerate the loud party going on in the parking lot, and the woman putting on her pants with her room door open. But finding two small roaches crawling around the bathroom when the lights were on clinched it for me. Left the motel at midnight to return home instead of staying another minute. When we infromed the motel staff the next morning they didn't sound suprised about the roaches.

Dirty
By Crystal, 08/18/08
I read the reviews my husband and I figured we would still give it a try. We are not ones to complain. But, this hotel was FILTHY. There was some "unknown" substance on the bed linen. We went to Wal-Mart and got our own blankets. We stayed for 4 nights and every time they did room service the same linen was on the bed. After they did the room service the room was left unlocked. They didn't sweep, vacuum, clean the shower, tub. Need I say any more. Go next door and stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. I would think that is a good hotel since it is world wide.

O.K.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/08
We asked for a no smoking room and when we entered the room for the first time it smelled like a tabacco factory. The room was not aired out, all the windows were closed. The TV was out of date and did not work that well. It is in a great location. The price was ok for a tourist town. I would give itr three but no more then that on stars. It was ok. Which I quess is fine for a place to sleep.

disappointed & disgusted
By Disappointed, 07/29/08
They did not change the bed linen. You could obviously tell the linen were not fresh. I find that very disgusting to sleep on linen someone else has slept on, and the linen had a hard matter on it, the part folded back on to blanket, obviously the maid saw it. UUUgh. The next morning , beer cans, chicken bones were thrown outside my room. Never stay there, you will be disappointed and disgusted. The carpet was filthy. I asked for another room and found it was in the same condition. I couldn't sleep and did not enjoy my stay there. It does not deserve a rating. not even a half star suffices.

THE BEST MOTEL IN THE DELLS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/08
This is our first visit to the Dells. There was me, my husband and our 4 teenage kids. We stayed in the 2 queen jacuzzi suite with loft. This motel was GREAT. It was very spacious, and clean. The staff and housekepping was great. I did alot of research on motels before our stay, and I am very happy with our choice. For the money, I guarantee you wont find a better motel. The ONLY problem we had was the phones were down for the first 24hours we were there. The ONLY suggestions I would make is to put A/C or a fan in the lofts. Also to supply coffee filters with the coffee pots, because they are not standard. Other than that our stay was PERFECT. We had alot of valuables in our room, and never had a problem with anything missing. When I read other reviews for other motels, some in the same area did have problems. I highly recommend this motel to anyone, especially to those with big families. Thank you Mayflower Motel for such a wonderful stay. If we come back to the Dells, which I hope we do. We definitely will stay there again, with no hesitation.

we love it, i'm surprised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/08
We come to the Mayflower each year with a great experience. I'm surpirsed at the other reviews...I travel a lot and am aware that people bring little critters to hotels and then they are left to deal with them! We have never seen any eveidence of that. Our family loves the space they have so we can all get together and hang out(big pool areas and picnic area).Rooms are not fancy but they are clean and get the job done!

I Cannot Stand Roaches
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/07
BEWARE...BEWARE. We stayed thereLabor Day Weekend and it was a total disaster. The first night we found two bugs under the cover (one dead the other alive). The manager did offer to change the sheets. The 3rd night I found a roach in the bathroom crawling on the sink. We never received room service on that day either. When we told the other office manger which I have since found out were husband and wife, they were not apologetic at all. They stated that the room service staff did service our room. The beds were not made ,and the garbage was not emptied. I also took pictures and showed it to them and they seemed like they didn't care. The husband and wife manager refused to give me the name of the owner. I was told that they live in Chicago and rarely answer their phone calls. If I could have I would have found somewhere else but the Dells were totally booked for the holiday weekend and I paid 700.00 for this stay. Over all I would recommend The Great Wolf!

More bad than good
By Steve aka X, 08/23/07
My wife & I stayed in one of the suites and it was very nice and clean. But our friends, who went with us at the same time, stayed in a standard room and found roaches. That right there would probably cause me to not go back. The best features of the Mayflowers are the pools. 4 pools (2 indoor, 2 outdoor) and 3 kiddy pools. The adult pools were nice and deep. Seems like everything in the Dells is waterparks so it's nice to be able to actually swim. My other complaint was watching college kids drinking and smoking IN the indoor pool with kids around them. Management saw them and did nothing about it. So while the pools were great I'd probably go somewhere else next time up there. The location was great though.
