Large, clean rooms, but awful soundproofing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/07
Pros: Impressive rooms, a good 40% larger than a typical Holiday Inn. Equipped with a mini-kitchen with fridge, microwave, utencils, etc. Comfortable bed. Computer in lobby. Right off I-45, a 15-minute drive to Miller park. Roomy bathroom with quality toiletries (liked the massage soap).
Cons: Biggest complaint: Despite the modern feel of the building, the soundproofing of the ceilings is non-existent! Had four kids above stomping around all day from 6am-12am. Had to request a different room by night three, as even earplugs did not block out the crashing, and I can sleep through anything. Given the poor insulation, why wouldn't they put kids on the first floor? In alerting management of the problem, they indicated I had to check out by 11am then check back in after 3pm. Not what I would call great service.
Amazingly, no pamphlets in lobby for Milwaukee attractions! Only a few shabby photocopies of recommended restaurants.
