Maple Manor Motel, Eau Claire

This place is full of bedbugs and disquisting. The evening bartender is very big busted and uses it to get tips and attention. She is not classy at all and tried to go home with all of us. Best thing to do is steer clear of this place.

We didn't know what to expect when we got there but all our worries were gone once we met Barb, the desk clerk. Barb did her job above and beyond what is expected of her. A very wonderful lady! We were sitting around on lawn chairs by our rooms and she got us a blanket and told us we could move the picnic table into the middle grassy section, she brought us out fresh fruit and veggies and crackers. Wrote us out directions to the softball fields and told us of area events. We had room for the girls and parents to play ladder golf and throw around a volleyball. She made you feel like you were at home and just having a good time with friends. The rooms had awesome showers great water pressure-mattresses were comfortable and there were microwaves and dorm fridges. The restaurant had very good food. The waitresses were very friendly. The key to one of our rooms wouldn't work and the maintenance man was there right away changed the lock within minutes-what service. We all decided that if we had to go to Eau Claire again we would definitely stay at Maple Manor. Where else would the staff treat you that good to make you feel at home!

We stay here every year during gun deer season in WI. Is it 5-star accomodations...obviously not. We stay here because it's conveniently close to all highways, there's everything you need within a 5 minute drive, and it's cheap and reliable. The cafe and the bar connected within the complex are actually really nice. Good food and great people. If you're looking for a flawless, elegant place...this may not be the place for you. If you're looking for a quality stay for a cheap price, here it is.

We have stayed at Maple Manor since 1972! Summer job in Minnesota took us through Eau Claire the first year and that is when we "found" Maple Manor. Our children, now grown, always stay there and we continue to do so. The price is good, the breakfast excellent and we have NEVER in our years experienced any discomfort or dirt. We highly recommend this motel, it is one of the last of its kind!

We rode up from Northern Illinois on our way to Hayward and stayed the night. Nothing fancy but great for an overnight stat. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The bar on the premises was a nice place to go after a long drive, and the morning breakfast was great before we got back on the road. Thanks, we'll see you next year.

We couldn't be happier with The Maple Manor! We look forward to 2 relaxing stays every Summer. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. Complimentary breakfast is outstanding. Impossible to beat the value of this motel.

Coming off the main drag you see the back side of maple manor which was painted and looked well kept (intentional move?). But coming arond the corner and entering the courtyard was a bit scary (with the guests who were hanging out at the courtyard picnic tables). The general 'feeling' we got was that of aprehension and a sense of insecurity. The office where we picked up our key and checked in was pretty unimpressive as was the clerk. We wouldn't have stayed if it weren't for the fact that there was a big event in town and we were in a rush to get to it so we didn't have the time to hunt down a different place with rooms available. So we decided to try and deal with it for one night. We didn't know whether it was safer to leave our belongings locked in our room or in our car right outside our door, which for some reason needed to have 3 locks on it. Our room was dank and smelled funny. The blinds on the window were dirty and broken. The carpet felt sticky under our shoes (so we never went barefoot in our room). Everything was either old, dirty, outdated or all three. The tv didn't work unless you only wanted one channel. The room had lamps but was still pretty dark with all of them on and the lamp shades all were spotted and dirty. The air conditioner was dirty also. The king sized bed's matress was bouncy and uncomfortable and the sheets smelled strongly of bleach...mmmm. The wallpaper was peeling in several places and there were a couple of places on the wall across from the end of the bed that looked suspiciously like camera holes?! There was mold in the shower and the bathroom floor had parts of it breaking up or cracked. There was no shampoo or hairdryer in our room. The water tasted bad and it felt very hard in the shower. Our room included a free continental breakfasts in the on-sight maple manor restaurant/lounge but when we went to redeem them the complimentary choices were quite limited and not what it had been described to us as. All the rooms are themed and in the reataurant was posted a collage of interior pictures of all the rooms. Let us just say they look nicer in the picture than they are in person...at least in the case of the River's End!!! When we left our key at the office upon departure the guy at the desk didn't even ask how our stay was and he wasn't friendly. Now we know why having a current brochure mailed to us or getting a confirmation was difficult. best we can say is at least it was quiet at night. We came to maple manor because the reviews we read were so complimentary...hmm. Disappointing. If you're coming to Eau Claire, steer clear of maple manor...for a couple extra bucks you'll be a lot happier at another establishment.

We recently had 14 members of our family-- from Milwaukee, Madison, Minneapolis, Seattle and Eau Claire--gather at this motel for a little get-together celebration. The staff was extremely gracious and very accomodating. We had a great time. Thanks!

Nice place and have been back several times, just not lately. Spend winter usually in Florida so are planning a winter get away soon! Have told others about it.

Maple Maple Manor is a very affordable location for accomodations - plus it includes breakfast at the restaurant on-site and they have very good food. The bedding is always very clean and the bathrooms are kept very clean also. Its nothing fancy but its an affordable option that you can feel confident coming back to again and again - I stay here a few times a year and haven't ever had an unpleasant experience. If your looking for a ton of perks this probably isn't for you but you can't beat the room rate and the included breakfast. The do have a lounge as well that sometimes features live bands.
