Super 8 Strongsville, Strongsville

We stopped at the soon to be Super 8 in Strongsville, OH. Price was at $60. The rooms looked great after the renovations to the property. Service was very good and helpful. Spoke with Jared, very friendly. Rooms had new carpet, air conditioners, coffee pots, hair dryers, new toilets, and room was freshly painted. Cant wait till they get breakfast added.

At $40.00/ night, I expected a no frills room, but I wasn't prepared for a dreary, smelly, moldy room like this one. I've stayed in Motel 6's before, but none like this! This is an old RedRoof that's neither been cleaned or renovated. Original (stained)wallpaper, original (stained) carpet, original (moldy) tiles in the bathroom. The musty smell was so bad, I could barely sleep even though I had a cold. It really messed with my sinuses. The airconditioner/ heater doesn't have an auto setting. So even on the low setting, I had to turn the unit off because I got too hot. But then a few hours later I was freezing and had to turn it on at 4:00 a.m. Smoky, smelly lobby, too. Staff was really nice, though. Better to spend $15.00 more on another motel/hotel, and maybe get a clean room, alarm clock, and continental breakfast!
