Viking Motel, Lindsborg

My wife and I wanted to just go on a little trip just to get away from it all work,kids and bills just for the weekend. We've never been to Lindsborg so that were we went. As we came into town first thing we noticed was the Viking Motel and of course subway right next door. Stopped for food the checked right in. Management was awesome and very helpful with town quest. We visited many shops in town and also Salina had a blasted. My wife and I give the Viking Motel 2 thumbs up. We liked the help and kindness for everyone at the Motel and in the town. There's Better... Simple as that. Don't stay here, there are plenty of other choices. The management was rude, and the building is old and run down. Was also right on the main road, and Was no better than a Motel 6. Will not be staying here again.

2006 - The new owners; Bob and Sheila Ryan were excellent hosts. The motel is extremely clean, quiet and very accomodating to families, pets, and expecially us older folks like my husband and myself. We stayed and the Viking Motel a few days after Christmas, and due the cold weather, Sheila was gracious enough to have a nice warm room available when we arrived, and Bob greated us as warmly and friendly as if we were family. I highy recommend everyone to stay at the greatest family owned motel in all of Kansas.

This place was built in 1972 but you would never know it, it's been so well-maintained. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room & amused myself by looking for some dust--had to get up on the dresser & run my finger along the top of the mirror. Very quiet, comfortable beds, friendly staff, friendly cat.

The owner was extremely rude. We had a very poor experience. They advertise themselves as "smoker friendly" and we had reserved a smoking room. When we got there, someone else's stuff was in our room we asked for another room. Well, they didn't have a smoking room left and the owner started chastizing us for smoking in the first place. My husband and I had, had enough and we left and found another very nice place to stay. Guests beware!!!!

Clean rooms, close to Downtown, easy to find. An overall good experience. We will be staying at the Viking again.

I like the fact that they don't ask questions about the occupants of their rooms & are always friendly & nice no matter what time of the day or night you show up to get a room. My future husband & I have stayed there twice & are planning to stay there for our honeymoon this coming september.
