Loved It

We stayed in this older hotel the weekend of August 5, 2011 for 3 nights. We found it charming, quiet, and recently remodeled. The rooms were great with the fridge and microwave, with all of the extras of hair dryer, coffee pot, coffee supplies of regular and decaf, iron and ironing board, ice bucket, shampoo, lotion, and even bottled water. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable, and I fell right to sleep. Even with the 103 degree heat, the air condition had to be turned down after a few hours of running. Our rooms were on the inside of the “U” and we were very close to the pool. We were very impressed with the hot breakfast. The hotel offered Texas shaped waffles with syrup and sugar-free syrup, biscuits, white pepper gravy, sausage, omelettes, bread to make toast, all types of oatmeal, apples and bananas, cakes, three types of cereal with milk, orange juice, apple juice, filtered water, and coffee on Saturday. On Sunday, the menu was the same, except they added two types of ham to the sausage. On Monday, the breakfast only changed with scrambled eggs and link sausage. My husband told me he couldn’t wait to go to bed, so he could eat breakfast again. The lobby had a computer and printer, which came in handy to print directions. This hotel was really a nice surprise for the price of $75 a night. I would recommend calling direct to get the best price. I believe I spoke to Billy.
