Talley-Ho Inn, Townsend

We stayed 4 nights here while photographing in GSMNP and Cades Cove. This was a great place! We stayed in a premier room with jacuzzi, fireplace, king bed and flat screen TV. The room was very quiet and our stay was just perfect! The wifi worked fine except for one night when there was some inconsistency but wasn't a big deal.

The people that work there are so helpful, the room was very clean, & we are definitely going to stay there again. And the view of the Smokey Mtns from our balcony was so beautiful! :)

We stopped in for a night at the Talley-Ho and found the staff to be very friendly, the room was CLEAN and large enough so we didn't feel we were staying in a box. The rates are reasonable and the restaurant next door (Carriage House) had good food. Will definitely stay there again when we want to be near Cades Cove.

The place is very clean, staff is very nice, and it is in a great location. We will recommend it to our friends.

Mountain views, personal service and small town ambiance. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great little fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. Area is clean, the family who runs it is very friendly and knowledgeable, and close enough to, and far away from, the hubbub of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Beautiful short drives to either one via two routes. Restaurant on property has great food and nice buffet. Nice walk/jog/biking trail the length of the town. Quite a few restaurants and shops in close vicinity. Have been here quite a few times over 2 decades and have never been disappointed. The Talley Ho will always be the place I stay in that area.

Talley Ho was nice place to stay. quiet ,peaceful, friendly staff. My husband and I have stayed there 3 times now and will return again this fall. beautiful view and great restaurant with good country cooking.

My sister and I visit the Smokies usually twice a year and try to stay at the Talley Ho. It's convenient to drive in from the north and the rooms are large and clean. We enjoy the balcony. The staff even recognize us now! The Carriage House Restaurant has an excellent selection.

The Talley-Ho Lodge is located at the base of the mountains and is very close to Cades Cove. From check-in to check-out everything was fabulous! We are from FL and the little deck/patio we sat on to enjoy the evening air was a much welcomed change from the 90 degree heat we were accustomed to! Thanks (in part) to the hospitality of the folks at the Talley-Ho, we're looking to relocate to this area in the very near future! (August 2007)

I love this place! It's beautiful scenery and being close to Cade's Cove mades it "da bomb" in my eyes...I think that's how my kids say it? Sitting out in the morning and watching the sun come up and the mist from the mountains is awesome! The staff is friendly and helpful...even the other guests are wonderful...my family and I feel safe...and it's not right in the over-ran, glity, over-commercialized part of Gatlinburg...it's just PEACEFUL...no wonder they call it the peaceful side of the mountains! I've had my reservations made since last fall, and can't wait to get back!

Very convenient location for hikers and those who love outdoors. Nice, clean rooms and relaxing atmosphere. Great mountain views help restore mind and body. A+++++++.
